A statement from one skeptic to another it would seem but we know better, right? ;-) And here we have a creepy, cautionary tale of the dangers of going to church, though perhaps the 'Hither Green Descenders'* would be a better name for a sports team of some kind. Team motto/warcry: "You're going down!" ... I'll get my coat. Anyhoo, we're presented with more threads, more links to previous cases and the eye symbology crops up once again - offshoot cults or just an old one resurfacing under a new name? We shall see. And we now have a possibly very significant date to add to the calendar of events. *As pointed out it's actually the 'Hither Green Dissenters' and my ears obviously didn't want to co-operate with that interpretation of sounds

I thought it was Hither Green Dissenters? Hmmm, on double-checking, you are correct. My ears are obviously quite faulty... Dagnabbit.

I thought it was Hither Green Dissenters? You are correct. The Hither Green Dissenters chapel is, like most of the locations mentioned in the archives, a real place

It's quite a bit out of my stomping ground. Regarding the archives, I'm loving how the Martin plot point has been largely sidelined but you've kept teasing us with the possibility of an overarching story. Also, it might interest you to know (if you don't already) that William Blake's grave is at Bunhill Field's burial ground in the city of London. If you've never visited, it always has flowers laid at it alongside other offerings (money, rings, notes etc.) I am also told on good authority that the burial ground has been broken into at night on more than one occasion by people wishing to observe his birthday.

As I wait for the new thread to be created for the newest episode I thought I would delve into a couple more old ones.
reading a little bit into Ny Alesund, there seemed to have been a couple of mining accidents between 1945 and 1963, resulting in the closing of the mines.
I don't know about anyone else but that seems like a perfect Magnus Archive situation.
