I've been enjoying the forum loads, but I wonder if we could open it up a bit? All of the regular posters seem like fun interesting people, but our actual conversation on the boards seems a bit limited. I for one would love to talk more to you all about topics outside of producing amazing podcasts, RPGs and fan theories! I was tempted to start a thread chatting about music (because that's my thing), but decided I'd test the waters. Am I the only one that would like to talk with you all about topics outside of the general remit?

Just because it doesn't happen already, doesn't mean it shouldn't. The forum community has been growing slowly, and it's nice that it has reached the point it has. If you want to start random threads I would definitely encourage that. I can't promise that people will reply, that'll mostly come down to personal preference.

I would say something similar to Brave Sir Robin, I men that the forum is growing and there are some more random threads if you look for them. However it just depends on whether or not people will reply to them. I mean I've thought about speaking on rugby union (my personal favorite sport) but I doubt if people would accept the level of abuse that I can sometimes sprout when Wales lose a match, also I would probably be completely banned from the forums for the language used.

I am afraid I find rugby terribly dull (my father is so sad about this) but I did enjoy finally cheering for Wales in the Euros this month. Had my Bale shirt on and practiced my pronunciation for screaming 'CYMRU AM BYTH!!'.

I feel like I should find a sport that I'm interested in to a point where I understand the rules, how the main competitions work, could name more than five teams, and name every player of the team I have decided to support... Maybe Rugby Union could be the one?
I only got interested in tabletop RPGs after listening to the gaming podcast and now I'm playing a pathfinder campaign and loving it! Overlord, I think you should start a rugby thread and see if the rusty magick can strike twice. Maybe replace the bad words* with more family friendly ones?
*I'm quite surprised that I've not yet said anything elicit by accident yet!

Good point, but my posts would go down to only a few words due to that. never found football particularly interesting, but once I found out Wales had qualified I watched their every game, as well as somehow being drawn to Iceland during the euros I'll probably start a rugby union thread when the 6 nations start at the end of January(?), as everyone can watch it then (it's usually on the BBC but I think it's shared between BBC and ITV this year) however the rules can be quite complicated for someone watching a game for the first time. also Y DDRAIG GOCH!!!

My sporting proclivities only tend to run to major international events, some domestic cricket (long-suffering Surrey CC supporter) and NFL. The last is thanks to Brave Sir Robin, though choosing to be a Detroit Lions fan on the basis that one of their players is nicknamed after a Transformer probably wasn't the best idea... But yeah, go ahead and make threads on topics; will be nice to see the community flourishing outside of just gaming and horror conspiracy theories

Perhaps a set random chatter thread? A forum I used to spend much of my time on has a sticky thread called some variation of the Open Bar, for throwaway posts for which in depth discussion isn't really required. There was an element of role play required, as the mythos of the bar expanded (there was a pool in the roof, The Mgt was terrifying and hidden and should never be communicated with, the barman was some form of land based squid called The Scrid, and all the best trolls were kept in the cellar).
I'd be down for a themed thread based on one of Alex's pubs from RQG, or especially BSR's epic mountain top pub (w/ helipad)...

Would anyone fancy a game of Mornington Crescent on here? Obviously we'd have to agree which set of rules to play first though.

(and actually reminds me to go looking for my poem on MC) Reminds me of the heady days of 2003-06 when I regularly went on MC pilgrimages (read: pub meets) with like-minded afficionados. We even staged a couple of 'ISIHAC Revisited' weekends away complete with teams, Samantha and someone standing in for Colin Sell Trying to do 'A Few of My Favourite Things' to the tune of 'The Addams Family' is something I won't forget.

Wow awesome. The closest I managed was being to see a recording with Humph (with Rob Brydon, Colin, T B-T, GG and BC (And of course the stunning Samantha)).
