I get the feeling Bertie's flow chart would go: Can I see anything > NO > ATTACK IT ANYWAY* *Unless it's a dog** **Dogs are to be befriended and then later thrown from 4 storey buildings, seriously Bertie, what the heck? Or: Is it inanimate? > YES > POWER ATTACK!!

I system I used to play had a quote on the warrior class page;
If it moves, hit it. If it doesn't move, push it over, then hit it. If neither of these works, it's probably a wall.

Does the Yeti's claw have a dancefloor? I feel it should have a dancefloor. I have been doing a great deal of dancing, and I would like to continue to do it here surrounded by awesome people, rather than Shoreditch wankers.

With the blizzard going on I don't know why but I had an image of a Hateful 8 kind of situation... anyone got a letter from The President?

Perhaps a bard rock band... Which could just be a goblin bashing on some rocks... Got some killer beats....

We could hire that famous band composed of several barbarians and one invulnerable warforged - rage against the machine.

Or that band named after the favourite sword of the lead singer - coldblade.

I've really not been active here at all the last few weeks, mostly due to being away in Edinburgh, but here I am to unload a little!
(By the way, I'm quite often found talking about this kind of stuff much more openly than you'd expect because I'm of the opinion that everyone has a little of it going on. If it's a bit too much for here tell me and I'll rein it in a bit)
I had a pretty good time in Eburg, despite not actually doing much except sitting on my friends sofa cogitating. I did get out to meet James for a couple of shows which is nice (he truly is a most lovely gent those of you who haven't met him in person), but even then I didn't really feel on top of my game.
Since I've been back I've been having serious anxiety issues and a panic attack yesterday was bad enough for my boss to take me to bloody hospital. I've a long history of depression and while I don't care for the pain or the constant suicidal ideation I do know how to cope with it. What's new is this anxiety. Things have been pretty hairy with that, where I find myself almost coming to from blacking out and not knowing where I am or what I'm doing.
Anyway, I've been signed off for a week from this morning - which for some reason didn't stop the managing director of the company calling me in for a meeting to "get to the bottom of this". His cure for it is of course "think positively Steve". I was actually in tears at one point. So one gigantic panic attack later, here I am. Posting about it in perhaps the most inappropriate place, but one where I feel kinda safe mentioning it.
Forget the dance floor, where's the psychiatrists couch?

Sending lots of *HUGS* and sympathy over the lack of corporate understanding. I have likewise been on the receiving end of similar 'buck up' conversations with bosses.
I think we can clear out one of the storerooms for a quiet space and some therapeutic chaises longs.

I'm so sorry you are feeling like this Payne (Steve), I cannot say I've been in your shoes (with depression yes, but not anxiety) My Ex-Boyfriend had and still has some serious anxiety issues and used to suffer from terrible anxiety/panic attacks. most of which he would be sent to hospital for. From helping him for 4 years deal with them I can see how much they suck (that wasn't the reason we broke up). unable to tell the people around you how you feel, them judging you for something you cannot control and just generally not being happy. its all well and good saying "buck up" or "it will all get better" but you know those words mean nothing when you are in a state of anxiety and low. just knowing you have people here who are happy to pull up a figurative chair by the fire (am I using figurative right?) grab a mulled cider from the bar and listen. I don't know if it will help but my ex made a video for his masters course about anxiety www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wfqfw38QrE4Were all here for you P.S I met James a couple of times too at Fringe, so glad you had a great time! I had an amazing time too, James really knows where and what to see!
