I'm starting this thread so that folk can be kept abreast of the shows, talks and general appearances that RQ crew are doing - so, kinda self-promotion to interested parties for the things we do that are not collective RQ endeavours. :-) I'll kick things off by saying that next Wednesday (24th August) I'll be donning my poet persona at Books Showoff to talk about H.P. Lovecraft's largely unknown poetry catalogue and what interesting things we can gather from this part of his work. I'll also be performing some pieces, both of his and mine that his work inspired. The show is at the Waterstones on Tottenham Court Road in London, 7 for 7.30pm. Tickets are a fiver and available here: www.waterstones.com/events/books-showoff-4/london-tottenham-court-road

Hey folks, Just a quick word to say that for any Magic the Gathering fans here, both Bryn and myself will be attending GP London this weekend (7th - 9th October) at the Excel Center. Entry to the venue is free and there are plenty of artists, dealers and side events going on as well as the main event on Sat/Sun. More details at www.gplondon2016.comFeel free to tweet me (@godigumdrop) if you're in the vicinity and want to say hi, grab a game of Commander or join us in a draft. I will definitely be around tomorrow & Saturday (Sunday will depend on how things go on Sat )

Hey everyone - just a quick note to say that RQ is going to have a presence at Dragonmeet this Saturday if any of you are around. Myself, Jonny and Bryn will be there, hanging out at the Podcast Booth and generally have a good ol' gaming time - Jonny may even be running a Deadlands game that you can get in on... More details to be confirmed later this week! Tickets are still available at www.dragonmeet.co.uk and Guest of Honour this year is John Kovalic!

I should, in fact, be running two games of Deadlands - one in the morning slot and one in the evening slot. There's six spaces available for each, so hope to see a few of you there!

Yer I'm planning to come now, where you guys going to be? We'll be around at various times - best chance of finding one of us is at the Podcast Booth in the main trading area (not certain where that'll be just yet). Jonny will be running games and we're aiming to do a fan meet around 6ish or so, as we have bonus Lydia joining us too!

Apparently they've been booked solid for RPGs for sometime, but had neglected to make any announement or take down the GM submission form on the website. So no games from me this year, I'm afraid.

So, we'll be there throughout the day from 10am, staffing the PodcastZone booth with the lovely folks from The Rolistes Podcast, Formal Gamer, The Wizard on the Wynd and Dark Cleo Productions. You should be able to find one of me, Jonny, Bryn or Lydia there at most times and we'll be having an impromptu fanmeet at around 6.15pm if folk would like to gather collectively to chat.
For any changes and news on the day, you may want to follow/check @therustyquill on Twitter. Hope to see some of you there!

Since I never got round to saying it, thanks all for showing up! Lydia, thanks for putting up with my quiet punning - though I think I'll be kicking myself until the end of days for missing out on using the tile of the "Laconic Draconic"! Also thanks to Jonny for putting up with my wild, rambling tangents about abandoned Doctor Who continuities and RPG design. (Having reread the source material for Faction Paradox, I can say that the native Americans did have firearms at the time, as you said, but the logic behind the "sand and snow" shot was that it would be far easier to arm themselves - the exact phrase is that "It is easier to fight a foe when you are not relying on him for supplies.")
