Hello. Al here Started listening to the podcast last week sometime and yeah. I've never played Pathfinder, but I'm following along well enough with my (albeit limited) knowledge of 3.5 (I never properly got that stuff before my group upgraded to 5th edition D&D).

Welcome! We're really interested to find out how people discover the podcast. If you don't mind sharing, where did you find out about us? And what made you start listening?

Welcome! We're really interested to find out how people discover the podcast. If you don't mind sharing, where did you find out about us? And what made you start listening? I started listening to the Board with Life Podcast because I was looking for tips for running a campaign they had done, and decided that I liked the format of Actual Play stuff in Podcast form, so I started looking around for other ones. i think I found this one because I had been looking at a load of other podcasts and it came up on the 'suggested' stuff on my homepage. I started listening partly out of curiosity at how different Pathfinder was to D&D, partly because it just sounded good and had good reviews, and partly because all the other ones I had found so far were American

That's great. I lot of us have come for a different angle, without much experience of actual play podcasts (though obviously, a few of us have got into them a lot more since starting this project) so it's really interesting to hear from someone who has listened to a few more different ones.

Welcome to to the clan. If you are looking for good actual plays I would check out Critical Hit as the obvious first stop. Geek and Sundry also do a lot of good video content of actual plays. If you google them you'll get some good content. Of course there is always Will Wheaton's Tabletop but they tend not to run longer campaigns. Shorter one-off stuff normally.

Hi Rachel! Good to have you here. I was chatting about Ishmael in the characters thread, that Saga was still one of my best ever RP experiences.

The Kor tribe are the best! If you ever want to play Ishmael again let me know. We can reminisce on the characters thread

Greetings Jonny! I can only presume you are infiltrating our forum to slowly eliminate our cast one at a time.
You may be doing me a favour...

Hello! *headbutts* I'm April, I'm the one that puts up weekly tweets raving about your show! Just love what you guys do and I'm always trying to get other people to listen to it. (I've managed to my boyfriend hooked.) You all often get me laughing out loud whilst working. Quite enjoying the fact I'm not restricted to a character limit here unlike twitter... Been listening from the start (This is my first time on a forum) and in a few weeks I'm going to try my hand at GM-ing with some friends (non of us have ever played before) and I would LOVE some advice. We're gonna be trying the D&D 5e starter set, but I'd like to be able to have some ideas about how to make it our own & character generation with newbies (I have done SO much reading.) - But Didn't know if this part should be on here in the hellos or in different discussion thread on the forum! x

Hello! Welcome to the forum, and thank you for your very kind words. That's brilliant that you have decided to run your own game. We actually recorded a metacast on this very topic a few days ago, but I don't know when it will be released. It might be worth opening a new thread for more specific advice.

Hey Nash! I should congratulate you, you are going to be the first person to get an episode dedicated to them! We got a lovely email from one of your chums. Feel free to sling us your questions on a dedicated thread or via email, we'd be happy to help. Will be a couple of weeks at least before our special on how to launch a game goes up though.
