It's not a hello but more a 'I'm not dead'. Not been very active on the forum lately due to starting uni but that's going to be changing!

Hello: I've been waiting till I was caught up on episodes before venturing onto these boards. Wasn't difficult as they're pretty compulsively listenable. In fact, I'm now trying to decide whether I could manage to wait a few weeks so as to regain the ability to circumvent cliffhangers. (In fact, I caught up at a very inopportune time, not-being-able-to-circumvent cliffhangers-wise (the 'Garden Party' episode).)
I've always listened to a lot of podcasts pretty much since podcasts started existing, and this one has very quickly become perhaps my all-time favourite. So, thank you!

I'm all caught up and here now. I found RQ through James, who I saw in Edinburgh this year on Chris Coltrane's recommendation in what was by far my favourite day of show going.
I've mostly dabbled with gaming - starting off with a World of Darkness live action Vampire game, to 4th ed DnD, ran my own WoD Werewolf game for a bit and now have characters statted for a WoD Mage campaign and a custom setting 3.5 DnD. Following my listening experience with RQ, I really want to run a Pathfinder game that is largely set in the real world - shamelessly cribbing massive chunks of your setting!
I have recently moved into a new place in Southampton and my flatmate is a veteran gamer. We have crafted a gaming table that is the perfect height for sitting in armchairs and sofas but still play tabletops...
Comedy and gaming - check.
I'm also very into history, politics and science. All very much as an enthusiastic amateur.
Other things that make me less one dimensional - check.
I love the show, obviously, but I'm really here to see if I can get involved in the community side of things. I've spread the word to a few people but of course it's better to use these opportunities to meet new people!

Hey Payne, glad to have you. You should definitely send a message to grumbly archer, he's looking at spinning up a play-by-post on our forums. Sounds just up your street.

Hi, I'm Dacre. I first met Bryn like I met Hamid, gambling, and he beat me. Also, I lost my flat mate Anil to him.
These two statements are less related than you might think. I've also suffered at the hands or rather feet of Bryn's lethal football shot, and James' commitment to a tackle that Bertie would be proud of.
I've played WOW, read OOTS, know what gazebo is, but never actually played DnD or similar, but some of my best friends are players.
Loving the podcast.

Hey Dacre, glad to have you.
You'll back me up, Bryn is actually an Egyptian Halfling isn't he? Some people think he is faking it for the podcast. Can you believe it?

Thank you for clarifying that I wasn't the spoils of an East End poker game I suspect, though, you were glad to get your lounge back from the dice-wielding cavalcade that would descend early on the weekends.

Howdy, been listening since episode 3 and as I am procrastinating at work, thought I'd join up in the forums and say how much I'm enjoying the podcast! Looking forward to the spooky new one too!
