Inspired by Rusty Quill, I've decided to embark on my own campaign! I'll be DMing for the first time and leading some friends into the world of tabletop roleplaying. They're all new as well so it will be a learning experience for all us! I've been writing the story and lore for a while and have recently created a map, using a fantastic web based map-making tool called INKARNATE. I'm quite proud of the map and excited for the start of the campaign so I wanted to share the map with you guys!

Aaarrgh! It could be that I don't know what I'm doing. I tried pasting the picture in using the board commands but maybe didn't do it right? I'll try again below and paste the link by itself. imgur.com/a/HuiPQ

Yeah, I don't think a paste will work: click 'reply', then click the 'Image' button and you're prompted to input a URL, just copy/paste the URL from imgur and that'll do, like this: It's a really nice map. Are you going to show them the whole thing, or just tell them where they are? What if they want to go beyond the mountains?

I tried using the image button and each time it came up broken! There is more world behind The Rubble but at the start of the campaign it would be unpassable. Eventually a passage would open up - so it would literally be a "starting area". Also, after consulting with some other gaming friends and the RQ guys, I'm basically remaking the map to get a better sense of scale. This map is more of a "lore" map - a small collection of settlements in an otherwise vast and hostile waterless wasteland.
Setting is still fantasty but in a post magical-apocolypse world.
