The cloudy skies above Paris get a little more troubled as our crew realise they probably got out of the city just in time. But at least it's time for relaxation more than recriminations, though Sasha may need to start making lemonade, Zolf has more than a troubled stomach to keep him occupied and Bertie runs into an old friend... who is decidedly not keen on the reunion. Though, I doubt any of us blame Mr Campbell in his Bertie-avoidance tactics. And Hamid finally gets to calm down, have a nice glass of wine and get his spells back.
So, what of the revelations of Zolf's heritage? And what conflict might arise from his Meritocratic job versus his Separatist connections. After the troubling diagnosis he's just given Sasha, is this now a case of "Physician, heal thyself"?
And what of Bertie's fun? Will he endeavour to set up the meeting between Mr Campbell and Zolf? And just what is he going to find in the poor man's cabin?

Excellent thread title.
This one is very much the calm before the storm...

God damnit, Lydia. Your impersonation of Hamid being a *little bit sick* made me chuckle in the middle of the Underground. Many funny looks were had by all (well, just me).

Lovely character building in this. Lydia-as-Sasha's "I don't believe in good news," had me on the floor.
I am looking forward to finding out if Bertie has managed to completely pre-scupper Zolf's fanboy meeting with his beloved romance author. (Because Bertie and Zolf just don't have enough mutual antipathy already.)

This was a really great episode. I do love the high-speed-no-extraneous-details-pulp stylings, but I also love that we've spent enough time with the characters that they can just sit around, chat and not do much and it's just as engaging.
