OR: Picking Your Fights
Well, with 2 down and a number to go, the age old question of 'Where do we go next?' raises its head and time is ticking down until curtains up. If LOLOMG are going to get to the opera, then they'll have to get a move on... And I can't imagine that Bertie is best pleased at having to wade into battle at less than peak fitness.
This episode does raise some interesting questions about strategising and balancing competing interests - when you as a player don't know which is the better option but don't want to waste time, how best to determine where you go/what to do? And as a GM how do you balance moving the story on without effectively railroading the characters - particularly when a given 'insight' roll doesn't come out well enough?
Or should this even matter? Is there an argument that wherever the PCs choose is the 'right' place to go because the story is driven by the characters and having their choice being the 'wrong' one, doesn't serve anyone's interests?
