OR: "Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark"Tactics at play all round, from LOLOMG to the NPCs in the box, as the players get into position to unmask a villain. And Bryn calls out GM Alex for breaking time-honoured narrative conventions. A flooded basement, darkened boxes, harried managers, a siren's song from the diva... the stage is all set for a showdown! Nice to get back to the action after the holiday specials; and the PCs are back in the thick of things as Bertie's 'force of personality' is still 'charming' the help, Hamid finally gets to see his sister, and Grizzop & Sasha stick to the shadows to observe what emerges from the dark. And, the Count of Prague is called 'Jeffrey', apparently?? Anyway, verisimilitude aside , there appears to be magic afoot in the opera house - magically-assisted voices (and I loved Hamid's comment about disowning her if she's a bard) and we shall see if Don Giovanni becomes Phantom...

Actually, thinking about it, it's probably a Bryn comment :-)

Actually, thinking about it, it's probably a Bryn comment :-) Good good. I don't think Hamid shares this prejudice. Is it just a running gag or a real dislike? The episode was fantastic again! The description "Crenolin-elemental" made it even better, by the way. XD And magical opera indeed. The many mundane uses for magic in the play is always great to hear. I'm looking forward to the no doubt over the top villain presentation!
