Yes, card sleeves. But ones specifically designed for magic cards (iirc there are three common sizes for card sleeves, though magic uses the most common of the three).

I doubt you get annoyed by the proliferation of the colour red amongst canal boats in no rerun England. Therefore, there is presumably a bound somewhere... Don't even get me started on boats! In less frothy feedback - patches are always good merch to have and relatively cost-effective to have produced (they've always been a solid mainstay of Mech's kickstarters) especially if you have some strong logo-fu. Also, it seems a shame to have so marvellous an artist as Sophie on board to do character portraits &tc and not to potentially offer some arty-merch. Individual prints, perhaps, or once all four have been done maybe single poster of them all, or something like that.

Seconded! A poster of the four pieces of character art composed together would be AMAZING!

I will buy merch when it arrives. I will even buy impractical items that my character (the real world me) has no use for, or otherwise fail to "capitalism" correctly...
True story: I bought an episode on another podcast through a mechanism where they'll record a special for you if you donate over $15/month to them. Then I told them to record whatever they darn well pleased.

Well we aren't trying to gouge anyone but yeah we will be monetising from the new year. It will be merch first but other stuff will be on the way soon enough. Anyone have any suggestions for non merch stuff we could sell?

Great advertising for you guys, cool little knick knack for me and hopefully a decent margin for you as well. I don't know about other non-merch revenue Maybe naming rights on NPC's in the game? That'd be pretty sweet!

Yep, all over patreon but because we are a limited liability company we need to jump through some tax hoops first. We'll be getting on it in the new year.

Joking aside other podcasts (most podcast I listen to) mainly seem to get revenue by corporate sponsors such as Audible, Nature Box, Dollar shave club etc. I'm unsure how you go about getting something like that as a sponsor. However perhaps your listeners could benefit, of your listeners I can imagine a number of them perhaps have companies of their own or small businesses, they could send in a request for you to advertise their company or business on the show and it costs a small fee for you to advertise.
Or a simple donation section, I've seen it work on other shows where they have an "executive producer" section where they list the donators from that week, each donator gets the ability to have something read out on the show, that can be their name or a small message to someone.
There are a few podcasts I listen to that also do live shows (Maximumfun, Welcome to Nightvale, How Did This Get Made). they sell tickets and have a live audience for some tapings of their podcasts, I know that can be very problematic with a lot more planning and things that can go wrong, but its also one way to meet with fans face to face, and sell merch.
Also a simple sponsorship/membership, this can be good as people can pay a certain amount a month to be "sponsors" but most of the time I see it comes with special "sponsors only" content, this can add a lot more time and effort on your part to make more content, for only a small number of your fans to see.
I hope some of this makes sense/helps, I'm just going from other podcasts I have listened to.

Just rent James out as Bertie for children's birthday parties. Or as a life coach... Whichever might be more lucrative...

Oh! I've seen some podcasts collate their episodes and sell them as Albums in iTunes... Origin stories perhaps?
