Or: The Importance of Being Sasha Wherein we learn the dangers of sowing your Wilde oats The Rangers are finally reunited after 4 episodes, lots of water, some very object lessons in the dangers of travel and lots more water. But now it's time for them to explore France and see how far the cultural differences stretch - news travels fast, for one... I foresee a lot of speculation involving Sasha, but highlights of this ep for me: 1. Teaching Sasha about geography; 2. Excellent worldbuilding in showing the differences between the two capitals; 3. The sound distancing effect on the telephone call up to the room; 4. Use of the French railway tannoy sound on their arrival into the Gare du Nord (as a frequent traveller to Paris, its a beautiful little touch); 5. Bertie channelling Jean-Luc Picard (and I'm now imagining the Rangers on the bridge of the Enterprise-D).

sowing your Wilde oats This is what I would have gone with for the Episode title. Some lovely little touches in this episode. I love how Zolf reacts when Sasha hides from him. The soundscaping was again, simply awesome. I'm excited about the Paris based episodes, there's some excellent stuff on the way.

sowing your Wilde oats This is what I would have gone with for the Episode title. It was tempting. Plus I have a page full of puns on 'Wilde' that I was trying to make work :-) But that only really covered one strand of the episode, so decided to riff off Wildean plays instead.

Like everyone else seems to be saying, I also liked the little soundscaping bits in this episode. Also liked the fact that even though there was no 'action' in this episode it was still brilliant, the threat of action is enough

Truth be told I was worried it might feel like a bit of a filler episode.

Truth be told I was worried it might feel like a bit of a filler episode. Because there were no dice rolls perhaps? I love the drama a dice roll injects into the game, but it's lovely to just let a story flow along uninterrupted (like greased kittens in a Teflon ball pit). All things considered, recording at the Rusty Shack sounds the same to me. Very good job guys!

Yeah, having exposition is good and having action is good. They both just work in different ways

Listening back to earlier episodes Bryn points out 'I smell a plot hook' - it's some of my favourite work, and the detailing in character and set up is just brilliant

I feel jealous of all five performers abilities. If they weren't so lovely it'd be intimidating.
Whilst I'm on the subject your fan art is amazing. Your Hamid made me cry a single, artful, tear of joy.

Was a bit late listening to this one because apparently I have a 'real' life to attend to... I didn't even notice there were less dice rolls until it was mentioned because it seems to effortlessly blend into the story.
I can't wait till the next episode!

The Google search for "Extrude the Fornicating Bed" is an incredibly mixed bag. Not as many non family-friendly links in there as I'd expect and a healthy mixed bag of articles and such from diverse sources like The Bible, Wiki articles on Tantra, Great Gatsby essay questions and(as the top answer) - Marriage advice.
Ladies and Gentlemen I give you Sir Bertrand - Impossible to truly analyse, despite Wilde's trite attempt that recently splashed upon the front pages of less than reputable daily publications.

The minute I posted this, last nights episode came out.
Suddenly seems much more possible to analyse Bertie.

And to be fair all the fans of the show have been lovely too, as a newbie DM I've felt really supported (And thank you! - I just love these characters!) x

I'm still working on catching up, but I have to tell you that this episode and the one before it SERIOUSLY solidified my love for Sasha. I love how she's just embracing the stuff she's learning and seeing. Her reaction to Paris was adorable. Well done, Lydia. ("Water tastes different in France" and "do they have sky eels?" are two of my favorite lines ever.)
