Can anyone remember if theres been a character called Jacob crop up in any of the statements? I was re-listening to the original trailer and realised that you could interpret it as a warning for Gertrude to get out of the archive before its too late.
It also mentions 3 topics that occur in later statements: Beholding, Darkness and Butchery.
It'll get you too. You can stare all you want. Make your notes and your enquiries. But all your beholding will come to nothing. When the time arrives and all is darkness and butchery. You'll wish you had stopped listening and run.

2) You're killing me here, Jonny - there's no indication anywhere in the statement of a date or time. If there isn't further timeline chicanery in this case (Hilltop Road is the bane of my wiki-editing experience...), is it safe to say that the events of this statement occurred in the first half of 2013, using an average length of time between observation and statement? That is probably a reasonable assumption Statement of user alias cannonlongshot regarding an encounter with a troll-like creature whilst trying to maintain a community wiki page. Statement begins...

I was relistening to this episode and had noticed the GR in the eBay username might stand for Gertrude Robinson. Sad that this is old news.

Since RQG world exists in an alt-history version of our own world is there a Magnus institute in RQG world? Perhaps this is a wireless broadcasted series in this universe...

Bringing a Hammer to your own head while watching a video of a band you recorded, is so metal. \m/ \m/

Is episode 29 relavant to this statement? The wine bottle that Jonathan found had a 2003 vintage and former employee of the Magnus institute, Fiona Law, died that year after complications due to a liver transplant... did it belong to her? wikia was very helpful in finding this information ^v^

They won't notice (I might be bitter). No one noticed Graham going missing. The only thing that was left of him was an old photograph. Which is a point - why on earth are cassette tapes and black and white film (and, inexplicably, Amy Patel's memory) the only thing that isn't affected by this phenomenon? Has Pacific Rim not taught us that Analogue technology is superior/immune to everything?

I have taken the liberty of creating an entry for The Magnus Archives on TV Tropes. For anyone unfamiliar with that site, it can loosely be described as an informal encyclopaedia of storytelling devices and the works that employ them (and will either ruin or enhance your life). There are still many episodes' trope examples to add, and most examples still to add to their trope pages, but I'm working on it. And now you can too if you wish, because that's the joy of a wiki. Incidentally, a question for the staff - would you have any objection to an appropriately resized version of the Magnus Archives logo from your site being used as the page image for the above? Marvelous
