Hey folks, over the last few months I've been drawing together strands of the Magnus Archive, trying to see links and patterns. To that end, I made a wikia for The Magnus Archives so I could easily search through the statements read by Jonathan Sims. You can find the wiki itself here, publicly available and open to all: the-magnus-archives.wikia.com/I wanted to make sure I was up to date with the cases before making it more well known, and I've written up a synopsis of each statement, including the post-statement follow-ups. Additionally, I've included pages on recurring characters and on themes that I see spring up. Please, have a read! Tell me what you think and if there's anything that is wrong or needs updating, or feel free to dive in yourself and make changes and update. The only thing I would request is not posting anything that's just blind conjecture, if possible. I've tried to stay as close as possible to the statements, except where some links are very obvious. Also, please please please forgive my absolutely atrocious spelling. Hearing names and writing them down is hard enough when you can't spell for love nor money and it only gets worse when the two are combined! Also, massive thanks to Oneiros and Jonny for their help with spell checking and generally proof reading a few of the pages. Unfortunately I haven't had time to re-read pages that I've already written and grammatical, spelling and prose corrections are all appreciated! I would really love to do one for Rusty Quill Gaming, but 40+ hours of content is just too daunting a task for me right now!

That is amazing! I quite fancy doing the RQG wiki now... If you do, you have our blessing :-) Thanks again to spooniermist for putting the Magnus one together (and saving me the trouble of doing so ). I'm hoping to finish going through it this week and getting at least the name spellings corrected (since I have access to Jonny's names now).

Oh wow this is fantastic!
I have been doing something similar but only in a small journal, so if something sounds familiar I have a quick record to go back on, this is just amazing! well done!
I have a list of all cases in Timeline order, perhaps it might be helpful? I think I got all the dates right, I know some statements speak over a couple of years (like Vampire killer) but I think I got the gist. Magnus Timeline.txt (724 B)

I always wanted a wiki about a project I have done! Well, that's what you get when you enable a project to such a high quality, it's your own fault I have a list of all cases in Timeline order, perhaps it might be helpful? I think I got all the dates right, I know some statements speak over a couple of years (like Vampire killer) but I think I got the gist. Oh! That is useful, thanks! I've started a timeline page but it's looking... cumbersome. I'm not sure how to do it succinctly, it's currently here. I've yet to add the timeline for all the statement dates, I'll probably do that last but use your list, thanks! That is amazing! I quite fancy doing the RQG wiki now... Please do! I'd be happy to lend suggestions or explanations of how the janky wikia structure works. Happy to lend a hand if you need it

So I may or may not have spent most of the last couple of weeks attempting to create a detailed timeline of all the current statements.
Magnus Timeline.xlsx (28.69 KB)
I hope its helpful to someone, some of the dates are just guess work.

Oh wow, nice job, Samwise! You mind if I put this up on the wiki? My current timeline page (the-magnus-archives.wikia.com/wiki/Timeline) is a bit lacking.

Apologies for the slow going on updating the wiki, folks - I'm up to MAG 19/20 so hopefully will be finished in the next week or so. Just having to double-check a few things as well with Jonny as I go :-) Also, for reference on episode titles (calling on spooniermist here in particular), despite the file labelling being slightly off, these are the correct titles: EP4 - Pageturner [all one word] EP15 - Lost Johns' Cave [note position of apostrophe, differs from the official name of the cave] EP17 - The Boneturner's Tale [one word for 'boneturner', and similarly in the name of the book itself] EP26 - A Distortion [note the indefinite article]

Interesting. Thanks Oneiros. Did you update the wiki pages?
Also St Johns' Cave? That feels like it changes the content of the episode as it was about the two Lost Johns and a similar thing happening to other people?

That feels like it changes the content of the episode as it was about the two Lost Johns and a similar thing happening to other people? I've updated some - although someone has gone back and changed some of the sidebar links relating to 'St. Johns' Cave'. And yeah, that was one of the things I had to query with Jonny and he's clear that the ep should have the apostrophe after the 's'. Make of that what you will... :-)
