I am also going to be Pokemonning this weekend. And I'm going cycling with my dad and he's gonna have to put up with constant stopping to catch them. I'm working on Sunday though.
I hope everyone has a good weekend regardless

So my epic trek plans changed slightly and I drove pretty much half way after work yesterday, and I'm staying over a friends place near Sheffield. Turns out that while she would never play a tabletop RPG, she does enjoy being an audience to one. I couldn't think of anything to recommend for her though because surely no one would record themselves playing RP games and publish the results as easily consumed digital content.

'Trusty Bill' sounds like the kind of pirate you just know will shank you as soon as your back is turned.

I was planning on drinking here all day. Even though I most certainly do not have the CON of either a Barbarian or any of the local Orcs.
I am going through any and all employment opportunities I might have here in Edinburgh. It's becoming clear that my long term health and happiness probably lies in the north of our somewhat United Kingdom. Probably should have prepared a CV before I went on holiday here...

Never forget the dwarves for CON checks and fortitude saves. also your friendly local barkeep will help serve drinks here tonight.

I sent my CV to a couple of different places today (having written one, of course). It feels strange to do this - until very recently I hadn't really seen any reason to consider moving back home to Scotland.
It looks like I will be able to find a suitable place to live if I secure the right job though. It's all tentative with no real timescale or anything, but I'm taking positive steps.

... For all that, I'm keeping these vague plans secret from most everyone until later on down the line. You're some of the lucky few to know about it

You're some of the lucky few to know about it I hope it all runs smoothly/successfully for you I'd love to go to Scottland, talking about bringing a show to the fringe next year so hopefully I'll make it!

If I happen to be here for a full August (hopefully next year) I would happily help out where I can! Edinburgh is my favourite place in the world, and I'm an excellent tour guide.
