So I just saw this on the WOTC website. Oneiros and I have worked on a cube together for a little while now, we should definitely submit it to this right, right?

I think we should - if anyone here has an interest in MTG drafting you can check out our Cube at www.cubetutor.com/viewcube/19845If you have any thoughts on improvements/substitutions/etc, do let us know!

I already linked in my post. Both the word this and the word cube are links. Though they don't show up super well in our style...

Btw, if anyone else plays MTGO i have set up a second account there (which I'll probably use more often than the old one) called RustyQuill_BSR. Gonna try and set up a clan as well, though don't know if that actually does anything...
I might eventually try streaming some MTGO on Twitch, but that's a fair way off if it does happen.

Oooooh! That's cool, you should definitely apply, we'll have to test play it a few times just to be sure it's right I wonder if this means that Wizards are planning on releasing a Cube set. That could be quite cool, although kinda against the ethos of the thing.

We've done a set of updates ready for submission to the competition. The newest version of the list can be found here: www.cubetutor.com/viewcube/62755. If anyone has any thoughts, we'd certainly be interested to hear them.

Firstly, jet lag can go to Hell.
Secondly, why specter's shroud and Hordling outburst. They seem pretty unexciting to me.

They're not super-strong cards, but they are both good role players in their archetypes. What would you have instead?

Hm, actually I think the Outburst works in the context of the Cube: you have a theme of instants and sorceries and prowess etc, so that's okay.
What are you trying to achieve with the specter's shroud? What gap is it filling?

Specter's shroud is for the UB archetype, which is about drawing cards, but also making your opponent discard cards. The new pieces for that archetype in this update include; geth's grimoire, specter's shroud, waste not and liliana's caress. If you look at the UB gold cards, quite a lot of them cause discard.

Ah, okay. I guess that makes sense in that context. Why not some other recurring discard, like or

cipher just isn't very good. probably the worst mechanic in RTR block. i think specter's shroud is much better value than either of those cards.

Really? Why is it so weak? At worst it's just an over costed spell, but with blue you have a lot of evasion, meaning you can potentially get two uses out of the spell the turn you cast it.

in limited, it tends to be heavily overcosted - and much too fragile. UB was almost undraftable in RTR limited because of it.
