I think it's fine in EDH, due to the propensity of those games to go long and involve overcosted cards anyway. Getting a cipher card on a beefed up Lazav and going to town with whispering madness can be pretty hideous... I realise that's not too relevant to the cube but I really like Dimir stuff.

I realise that's not too relevant to the cube but I really like Dimir stuff. Me too! It's a shame I can never seem to get a half decent Dimir deck. I have a Phenax EDH deck, but it never seems to go too well.

Lazav's the way to go. Mill people into oblivion and nick their good creautures while you do it - Phenax sits really well in there too, so you could even just proxy Lavaz and see how it plays out. Ending up with a Magmatic Force who also incidentally has Hexproof is pretty alright.

My mill deck started as with Nekuzar the Mind Razer but would get hated out even though it had no Wheel effects, so it's now Grixis Zombie Mill with Sedris. I like having the red around to do spell copy shenanigans to get the most out of my mill spells. Even if the Dimir part of me is sad at having to ally with Red
