Hello everybody!
Welcome to the Rusty Quill forum, please feel free to introduce yourself.
My name is Bryn, I play Hamid in the podcast - online I am mostly known as BraveSirRobin or BraveSirNiles, for reasons that will probably never become clear. I'll be acting as a mod on the forums and generally doing my best to stay in touch with you all.
We don't have an official forum policy on behaviour and such like yet, but these things should be pretty obvious. The podcast is family friendly, so please keep the forum the same. I used to be a teacher in Inner London Schools, so a good first thought is if you couldn't say it in a classroom with a teacher listening, you can't say it here.
If you feel something is inappropriate/offensive etc. please let me know and I will do my best to take reasonable action.

Hello! I like your podcast. I'm Will. I played a Hunter game with Lydia a few years ago, and met James via the playtesting group she used to run. Separately, I know Ben through VideoBrains. It's lovely to hear all these smart, funny people I know talk and play in a genuinely interesting setting. I normally loathe systems like Pathfinder, but I'm enjoying hearing how you all get to grips with the system and each other. Looking forward to episode four.

Hi guys, I'm the web admin (rustyquill.com not the forum). Feel free to direct any hatred about particular parts of the site towards me and I might be able to do something about it. Feel free to make suggestions or recommendations for things you think it needs. I will try respond to things.

Bonjour! Anil here aka "the ex-flatmate who moved to Paris" from Episode 0 I'm friends with most of the cast, even having GM'ed for Bryn, Alex and Lydia at various times. As an old TSR-fanboy, my favourite ever setting is Planescape though I'm a fan too of more modern systems like Apocalypse World and diceless/narrative RP. Definitely enjoying the podcast so far and groaning along with James' wonderful punnery :-)

Thanks for saying hello guys. We're hoping we can breathe some more life into the forum over the next few weeks, so please let us know what you think about any individual episodes, aspects of the podcast or stuff around the show in general.

I'm Ben...not the Ben who is part of the crew but another Ben...probably should have thought about that before registering.
Anyway. Of the cast I only know Bryn, we met 5 years ago at a Live Roleplay (like tabletop with fewer tables, rules and dice and more latex swords) where we stayed in character 24 hours a day for 6 days. It was here he coined the immortal catchphrases "I offer my blood" and "Time Dart Head" and I first heard his distinctive laugh. In the time I've known him I don't think we've ever played at the same time (one of us has always been on the Monster crew while the other has been playing) something I'd like to rectify in the future.
Actually, I tell a lie, we played a 24 hour sci-fi LRP event but I think Bryn was asleep for most of it.

Oh and I don't like that my name doesn't start with a capital letter: I would not do this with a teacher watching so feel it inappropriate to do it here

You're right that is the only time we played together, which is sad. It was about 36 hours long iirc, and though I wasn't asleep for most of it, I was much too tired to play it properly for most of the rest of it. I didn't feel it was a great event - the previous one was much better in my opinion.

Hi all, I'm James Ross and I play as Sir Bertrand Macguffingham. Hello! If anyone has any suggestions for things they'd like to hear from or about Bertie I'm sure I could ask him. James

And of course if anyone can tell me how to create a proper profile on this that would also be great.

You seem to have posted as a guest - you need to register for the board. There should be a link in the top right of the home page somewhere?

Hi Folks, I'm Lydia, I play Sasha in the show. Anything you'd like to suggest for a socially awkward stab-happy shadow, let me know, I'll pass it on. Not promising she'll answer intelligibly. Advice on maintaining decent accents always appreciated!

Ahoy! I am the one true 'Ben' ^^ I play Zolf in the podcast and, as with the others, I'm more than happy to get Zolf's grumblings if you have any question for him (or me)

Hey all! I just stumbled on the podcast and have listened to the first couple of episodes. So far? I'm totally loving it! I've only played 4e and 5e (out of the DnD and DnD esque systems) so far, but am currently looking into setting up a Pathfinder game since, upon further research, it has a lot of features that look like I'll prefer them. Anyway, please please keep up the good work, and I'll do my part by throwing it at all the RPG fans in my life
