hello there all... I'm Ian...and I'm terrible at forums... but wanted to say hi and see what was going on here as I love the podcast (even though I very rarely play RPGs myself). Love what you are doing and looking forward to the magnus archives.

Forums can be a great deal of fun. It always feels more communal to me.
And I did after all meet my girlfriend in a forum, originally. So they are clearly steaming hotbeds of romance too.

Hello all. I'm a strange person to be on RPG forums (no, I wasn't referring to that), but because I don't actually play RPGs. I'd heard of them, but I hadn't got my head around the appeal of them. I was put onto this by a good friend (Rachel, who I suspect is lurking somewhere on here) who made the recommendation. I say "made the recommendation", I think a more accurate image to have in your mind is I wasn't going to carry on listening, but I was hooked by the excellent theme music and the explanation that what was actually taking place was a story not a game (obvious to many of you I'm sure, but it wasn't to me - RPG to me primarily meant Rocket Propelled Grenade).

Allow me to welcome you to the forums Andy, I also wasn't particularly interested in RPG's until about 2011 and got hooked on them through friends who liked them, but didn't really play a lot until RQG came along. If in doubt I will see what I can do to help you get into them. Also I had a lot of cries of RPG when playing RPG's.
