OR: Tabula Rasa
The Archivist is back at work it seems, albeit not in the Institute and denied of its resources. Someone has found him, someone knows #WhereIsTheArchivist. Will this spur him into taking actions before he is ready? What will happen if he just waits and sees?
And yes, this pretty much confirms the creepiness of mannequins, with their flexibility and their adaptability, malleable forms that accept your manipulations, patient and accepting... But what do they want and just how do Breekon and Hope feature here, showing up in the background once again?
What do you think the Archivist should do?

Archivist: "I'm going to assume Breekon and Hope are part of the Stranger." Me: "... we are missing something."

Can only agree with amethystend, that was adorable. (And a splendid use of the story from the fears thread, well done!)
I really love how the ongoing recordings are handled, it fits the story so much better than other podcasts often do it. The need to record as manifestation of the Beholding's influence is neat. And I'm looking forward to hear whether the archivist will develop into either a true emissary of the Beholding (a true Eyewitness?) or an enemy to all aspects, like Leitner and Gertrude were in the end. As I see it, he's in a very interesting state of flux now, were it still could go both ways. (Read on for irrelevant fan theory.)
Since Elias stated he knows exactly were John is, I assume he sent the package. For one to keep the Beholding's influence up and also to feed him more information so he can prepare, if he decides to act against any of the other beings (or should he be forced to) as a training. The Beholding seems to handle the war between the other beings like a tower defense game: Audio. Vigilo. Opperior. - collect knowledge, fortify behind strong emissaries and wait until the enemies come to you. I don't think it necessarily has a particular agenda to eradicate the others (nothing interesting to see once they're gone), but the others have an interest in invading to gain the Eye's collected knowledge about the others.
In a way the Beholding so far seems to be the "best" aspect to fall victim to. While knowing about all the horror going on out there is terrible for the mind, it's not altering its marked in an awful way like, say, the Hive does. Then again, the statement of Jacob in the trailer tells another tale: "(...) When the time arrives, and all is darkness and butchery, you'll wish you had stopped listening and run." (Was Jacob maybe one of Gertrude's assistants, I wonder?)
No matter what John will become in the end, I love the story and can't wait to hear more!
