Hey folks! As you may have noticed from social media, we are back this year with another charity livestream raising money for Mind, the mental health charity! Tomorrow (Saturday December 9th 2017) from 1100 - 2300GMT, you can catch the crew over at www.twitch.tv/Rusty_Quill playing games and cracking wise, entertaining you for a good cause. Games will be a mix of board, card and video games - including (hopefully) Jackbox party games which do involve audience participation so you all can get involved too! We're also looking to set a broadcast record for the longest continuous stream in FULL 360, thanks to folks at Focal Point VR! Taking part from the crew are: Mike (Tim Stoker), Alex (GM; Martin Blackwood), Lydia (Sasha; Melanie King), Bryn (Hamid), Jonny (The Archivist), Anil (Community Manager), Martyn (Chief Tech Officer), Vaughan (Accounts Manager). And later in the evening, we will be joined by special guest, Frank Voss (Basira Hussain, The Mechanisms)! Donations can be made at: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/rustyquillWe really look forward to seeing you in chat!

Hey folks! Thanks so much to everyone who tuned in, donated, helped out and said nice things during the livestream - current total raised stands at £1661! We had so much fun and it was great seeing some of you in the Twitch chat too In case you didn't manage to catch it live, the VODs will be available over on Twitch 'til the end of the week as will the JustGiving page, for anyone who wants to still make a donation to support the work of Mind, the mental health charity. If you did watch the show, please do let us know what you think - we're always looking for feedback on improving things, particularly since this was the first time doing the show in the new studio. Also if there are any words you'd like me to feed back to the cast & crew

Just re-watched the stream, it was so much fun! And it was also very nice to see your faces! A pity that not everyone could be there. But everyone who was there was awesome! Bryn's laugh is such a precious thing! It's so fun to hear and see, I always enjoy hearing it during the podcast too. My favorite games were Billionaire Banshee and Betrayal at House on the Hill. Crabs Adjust Humidity was neat too. But, oh boy, the mince pie smoothie made me cringe! Kudos to everyone who tried to get this atrocity down, but the most respect definitely goes to brave Anul! Also I made gifs of two of my favorite moments.

Martin eating the tinsel might have been my favourite moment too.

Oh, before I forget it again. Two ideas for fun games that could be played next time: Exploding Kittens (card game) and Eldritch Horror (board game).

Thanks for the suggestions! Definitely up for Exploding Kittens; haven't played Eldritch Horror before but I've heard decent things about it.

My pleasure! Haven't played either of them myself, sadly, but Exploding Kittens always seemed hilarious! And there's a play of Eldritch Horror on Tabletop by Will Wheaton that's very fun.

Eldritch Horror is alright. I have played it a few times, but I'll never love it as much as Arkham Horror. Most people disagree with that, though, and Arkham Horror is even more heinously complicated and probably terrible for a charity livestream.

As much as I have a fondness (and own quite a bit of) for Arkham Horror, you're right, we would never be able to do it on the charity livestream - Betrayal was possibly even a bit too complex for that point of the stream. If we were to play AH, it would need a dedicated games stream of its own.

Ooh, just saw another delightfully funny play for a game that might work: Unspeakable Words - Cthulhu meets word game. The cards and little Cthulhu-figures are adorable!
