OR: "Words from a poisoned loom"
Unlike Rumpelstiltskin, it's not gold that the Web is spinning, but fated outcomes. Possibly. Though who can say what the spiders truly want? A cautionary tale of venturing too far and too deep into the strands of the World Wide Web, of asking too much and saying too much. Because words travel, can be spun into silken stories, enticing and alluring.
We meet the spider folk once again, and poor Gregory seems unable to do anything much about the poor situations he finds himself in. And what of this mysterious client he meets in Guildford, not too far from the University of Surrey, with a head scar and spindly arms? Who is pulling the strings here?
And then we get Melanie's reaction to John being back... Or is it the Archivist and not John who has come back? How we tell? There is anger and the desire to hurt, to bleed... so many have been lost and nothing is being done, it would appear. And just what is Martin doing for Big Boss Lukas that is keeping him so busy?
So many threads to keep track of...

Ah, yes, we have crying weeks at Rusty Quill again, I see! Now with more awful worry for characters and a generous helping of dread! Mmmh - RQ's special for the most delectable fan-tears!
Seriously though, great episode! When I read the title I was kinda thinking the ep would have Melanie forced to somehow get the Archive a new(er?) web-presence, but no. Poor everyone. Her anger is understandable, but even more ouch than Georgie's reaction. Are the two still hanging out? Or is Melanie too caught up in the awfulness that goes on for social contacts? This too would go quite well with the general interests of the new management, however coincidental.
And yes, the audience is very hungry! XD We have been good too, right? Patiently waiting without constantly screeching where you could hear, and that even though we didn't get more pictures of Jonny's cats anywhere (big hint)... And now we're hungry....
F̷̶̮͖̪E͝҉͚̠̝̺̬̪͈͇E͏̳̩̩̰̭͖E̗͇͔̪ͅḌ̛͉̤̥́ ̡̮̰̗̬͚͉U̴͙̰͉̝̯̖͖U͉̱͙̖͞ͅÚ̴̠̥̼̖̯̥̩̟S̷̮̼͇̗̺̠̬̼̣͟͠!̷͇͘͟
Ähem, where were we? Oh, right, the Flesh attack - we need to know how and what happened in more gruesome detail! Pretty please, with sugar and a big cherry on top? Especially because it will have Melanie being a badass.
And...MARTIN *sounds of ugly crying*. Interesting that Lukas only showed himself to Martin, which is more proof to me that he's trying to recruit him. Martin is sadly a "good fodder" for Isolation/the Lonely. Always the last one people think of or consider, treated badly by the ones he loves... Maybe he even crushes on Jon because he treated him badly. It's what he knows from his mother after all. >____<
While I do hope our Archivist will get Martin back (and more happening in the long run) everything going awful is the trend in TMA. Maybe there won't be anyone left in the end and the Archivist ends up as an evil entity that ruins everyone's life he comes into contact with. No happy ending in sight yet.
Speaking of which, would it have been possible for Tim to not die as well had he been more an agent of Beholding? I'm still sad about that. But that avatars of powers are harder to kill is interesting.
The client does sound like the girl from the spider experiment, the scar would fit with the injury she got.
Also, what was Jon eating in the beginning? What snack was left in his desk for six month? XD

I've worked as a web dev so this episode was an especially fun listen! Excellent urban legend. <3 However, I feel obliged to defend Gregory. Many new client requirements are contradictory in some fashion purely from poor communication. As for the giant text... I once received a customer email with a 'screenshot' attachment in black and white rotated 90 degrees. Can't remember if faxing was involved but someone definitely pasted the image into a Word doc and printed it out on physical paper before we received the final digital version. *hugs fictional programmer* It's not your fault Gregory, you had no way of knowing! Until the person covered in spiders grabbed your wrist, but um... that could happen to anyone?
So much nightmare fuel. So very much. Freaking creepy spiders.
Maybe there won't be anyone left in the end and the Archivist ends up as an evil entity that ruins everyone's life he comes into contact with. No happy ending in sight yet. Are we sure he's not already an evil entity? I'm probably (definitely) over-analyzing it, but I don't remember Jon having quite the same sense of humor before. Like when he joked about Basira being upset to see him alive or this episode about their dead companions as 'easier to keep track of'.
Still so very, very worried about everyone.

I've worked as a web dev so this episode was an especially fun listen! Oh my, you must have many tales to tell about customer fails. XD Back when my mother and I had our art gallery/store I was doing all the work that had to do with PC-usage and that included getting photos, texts and such stuff for our invitation layouts from people. That was challenging often enough. And these were artists we speak of, who should have a general inkling of how design works (s***, the staggeringly bad photos we sometimes got -___-). Designing for clients who have no clue at all - the nightmare! XD A-haha...ha, erm. It's good that you can't see my apartment. *sweats with embarrassment* My house-spiders are everywhere. The fattest one is right above my shower, I see her every morning. I'm not sure, but they miiight eat each other? Not sure what else they would eat now. Sometimes she comes down when the water runs, probably to get a few drops to drink. I tried holding my hand up to her with water before, but she quickly climbs up her thread every time. So not really a pet-spider. XD Buuut, one in my bedroom was less skittish one time. It sat right next to the door frame when I walked out and I tried touching the tip of its leg. It stayed and I moved my fingertip up and down twice like a little hand-shake. Still find this incredibly funny! XD (My grandma not so much when I told her, though. u___u) Well, he lost his humor for quite some time there. But that black sense of humor definitely was always there. That he recovered it now however is a bad sign. Beside everything else, of course. Can always get worse, though. He could start not caring. And I hope that isn't happening, or at least not for a long while.

Designing for clients who have no clue at all - the nightmare! XD It's challenging for sure! You try to touch them? Voluntarily? None of the available smileys properly convey my horror (though I commend you for your bravery!)
I cannot tell you the number of times I've stood frozen just staring at a tiny spider, working up the nerve to inch close enough and trap it under a glass. I don't like killing them but the thought of touching one... No no no no no. You mean back before all worm infestations and evil mannequins and dying archival assistants? I don't believe there was such a time.
