This episode is really kinda disgusting if you think about it in any detail. Bleurgh.
I don't know how well it came across in the recording but the most perfect moment ever was when James said "and he twirls on my finger like a ballerina in a music box" and at that exact moment the sound of an ice cream van cut in from just outside our recording space.

That moment when I realised it was not, in fact, added in post... Certainly a highlight of the campaign so far

It was definitely one of those most beautiful of apposite coincidences. I agree, though, that the events of the ep are the kind that you'd only really do with the distance afforded by having characters. Even with Zolf's background I feel I personally would be far more reticent to go diving like that

I really started to run out words for poop very quickly. It was utterly vile and if his character had weaker will and fort saves he would definitely have been making some checks against just being incapacitated with how vile it was.
That ice cream van is the bane of my podcasting life. It only ever turns up when we are recording. Never any other time.
Maybe he's a fan...

There are things you don't know about Zolf's background...

Dwarven sages have long known of such things but they have held their counsel for fear of panic in the staid dwarven society.

Zolf Smith: Sentient poop golem.
I should have known this episodes thread would go this way.
