Zolf's going down, down in an earlier round (of initiative).Okay, so that's for Brave Sir Robin while the rest of us try to wrap our heads around the darkness that has fallen on our heroes and our heroes that have fallen into the darkness, leaving us with a literal cliffhanger ending... Terrified applause for the soundwork, what with the shrieking and the strange noises in the darkness. Much more applause for Sasha's boldness in striking out, both on her own and into whatever that horror is. Again, great characterisation from folks in rather dire straits as Zolf tries to keep his head (since he's having trouble keeping his other limbs... sorry ), Hamid has a bit of a breakdown and Sasha is all nervous energy. It would be all too easy to detach from the situation and just present this as a logical application of mechanics when, in fact, rational actions would realistically be harder to come up with in such a terrifying predicament. Also, when the eyeball on the tentacle was described, did anyone else think of the trash compactor monster from Star Wars? So, what is to become of our luckless cleric? This far underground, can Poseidon hear his prayers? #ZolfsFate

I'm in shock. The worst thing is we have to wait TWO WHOLE WEEKS for the next episode.

I've been combing through Monster Manuals and the Pathfinder Beastiary trying to identify this Lovecraftian horror of tentacles and teeth. I haven't found a definite fit, something in between a Corpse Orgy, Otyugh and a Gibbering Abomination. The fact this is purely audio is both a blessing AND a curse in this situation as I don't have to actually see this thing but I do get IMAGINE seeing it, which is infinitely worse.

You are all taking it far better than I feared.

You are all taking it far better than I feared. I suspect folk may be clinging to the old adage - "No-one is dead until you see the body."

I'm mostly in denial about this episode. I'm not sure it really happened the way I remember it.

Yeah listening back, all of us apart from Bryn were being really blasé about what's actually a massive deal.

Okay. So I relistened and am now taking bets on "lands on Brutor, to complete the circle".
Loved the episode guys - quality jobs all round.

Hypothetically... How would you all feel if the campaign ended in a total party kill?

That would depend on what happened afterwards is the short answer. I would never forgive you for killing Hamid, mind.
