Somehow, I don't think the being in the hospital is the Angler Fish. For one thing, the Angler Fish didn't seem capable of much more than repeating its "bait call", whereas the thing in the hospital seemed more intelligent. Also, a derelict hospital doesn't seem like a terribly smart hunting ground - even stupid predators know to go where the prey is.
I wish we knew more about who Sarah Baldwin was before the Angler Fish took her. I get the feeling that the Sarah we meet in this statement isn't actually her, just something wearing her skin. I think she got freaked out in this statement because whatever is wearing her guise knew it was going into the territory of something more powerful and was trying to appease it. The fact that she carries a staple gun around with her suggests that her skin gets damaged often and she's prepared for "on the spot" repairs (she really ought to use superglue though, after all it was developed as a field dressing during the Vietnam war!).

No, I reckon that the issue here is that Sarah Baldwin (or whatever was wearing her skin) was afraid of stepping on this creature's toes. She apologies for trespassing, and peels her skin off to prove that she's "marked" by another power, creature gets mad and sends her flying, and I don't believe we see the resolution. I have a distinct feeling we'll be seeing more of Ms. Baldwin in time...

I just finished re-listening to this one as I wait with as much patience as I can muster for the S2 premiere. Among the many things I loved about it: Melanie said that her team had been "angling" to film at the hospital for a long time. Another punny little connection to Fishmarket Close – maybe I should call it a hook?
