With this one, I was left wondering- has Jonny been watching 'Preacher' recently?!

I haven't - I used to absolutely love the comic, but haven't been following the show.

Im partially inclined to think Jonny has been listening to the podcast called "Casefile" a horrific podcast where one auzzie just tells the true storys of murder victims and murderers.
2 story's from this podcast have got me thinking about the Magnus archive, the first was a 23 year old German girl from the 70's got mistakenly diagnosed with convulsions, given the wrong drugs to deal with it and ended up persuaded that she was possessed by the devil. the podcast even has audios of some exorcisms undertaken on her.
one was the story of Katherine Knight, an abattoir worker who became obsessed with her craft and her knives. leaving her ex boyfriend in a state most police workers describes as worse than any horror story could make up. that was the one that reminded me of a couple of Jonny's Magnus story's.
if you get the chance and you are not put off by horrific things (if you're listening to TMA then I'm sure you'd be fine) its defiantly worth a listen.

Hm... might give that a listen, although I generally avoid too much in the way of "true crime" style stuff (after all, in The Magnus Archives, man is most definitely NOT the real monster). That said, for research into this episode I did look into quite a lot of testimony by abattoir workers about how it basically kills you inside, and statistically it definitely makes you more prone to violence.

Hmm... did Laylow resign? His statement implies he did, but the records supplied by his employer claim he walked out the door in the middle of shift and wasn't seen afterwards... Am I reading too much into this? (the answer is always yes)

If you miss at least you'll end up amongst THE ELDER GODS.

With this one, I was left wondering- has Jonny been watching 'Preacher' recently?! Haha! I also thought that. I read the graphic novel as a teenager and loved it. Watching the show made me want to read it again, but reading it when I'm a bit older, it's not as good as I remember. Really loved the series, though! Even if Dominic Cooper is not the first person I would have picked for for the titular character.
