Inspired by a couple of posts on geek and sundry I thought I might mention a couple of games I really like or really want to play, and see if anyone else has recommendations. This post mentions a couple of my favourite games; Dogs in the Vineyard and Monsterhearts. I have only played a bit of either, but I loved them both and definitely want to play more of them. It also adds in Lady Blackbird, which I played once and thought was very good. And Fiasco, which I have heard many, many brilliant things about - some on this very forum - but, weirdly, have never played. The last one is Mouse Guard, which I am not really familiar with. This post is about a specific collection of lightweight games. I have heard good things about most of the games, but the one I desperately want to play is When the Dark is Gone. Becky (who wrote it) is a friend of mine, but everyone I know who has played it has had wonderful things to say. Any games you've tried and loved? Any you've heard about?

Fiasco is dead good. I play it with my Thursday night crew when the GM is away for a single session. It really helps with co-operative story telling and character work, and I'm a real fan of GM-less. If the GM is away for two or more games, I run a side quest for the alternate characters.
I really want to play the WoD Vampire again. My very first ever role playing game was a live action Vampire game. I created a rather fun Toreador gallery owner who was in the pocket of an infamous Nosferatu.
A friend of mine ran a rather cool little home brew system based off a D10 system and very light on rules. I joined late (about the end of chapter one) and got pulled out of the game by the girlfriend who hated how long each session was. The game collapsed after I departed unfortunately, but some of my favourite gaming moments happened there.
And Necromunda. I really want to play a Necromunda campaign with four or five other players. There seems to be little taste for it though.

I've never actually gotten a chance to do as much as I wanted with Pathfinder; it's always seemed to fall apart pretty quick. I'm also sort of interested in seeing how Mage: The Ascension works in play.

I'm kinda struggling in my Mage game. I think that may be an element of gaming group chemistry though.
I've gone through a couple of characters in it so far, and neither have felt particularly comfortable.

I used to play Vampire: The Masquerade quite a bit back in the day. I think I preferred the Malkavian clan, mostly because "oooooh, insanity powers" appeled to my rebellious teenage brain.
