Hi forums! I just caught up with all of Rusty Quill Gaming and recently started a re-listen to Magnus Archives. I'm taking copious notes and trying to figure out if there's something useful to be gained by organizing them in a queryable structure of some kind.
I've been playing various tabletop RPGs for about 15 years and am slowly trying to develop enough confidence to start GMing more. I've been developing a modified Magnus Archives universe that will hopefully work out. Early trials using the Gumshoe one-2-one system have gone well. I want to try it using the regular Gumshoe next. RQG has made me really, really want to play Pathfinder too. D&D 3e was my entry-level drug when it comes to gaming, and RQG has reminded me how much fun it is to crunch numbers and play with detailed combat.
Anyway, hello! I'm a little bit obsessed with your podcasts.

Hello folks! The above 'MrSpider' was responsible for eventually inflicting the excellent Magnus Archives podcast upon me. Since I'm from near Edinburgh I especially could not resist being drawn in by a podcast that started off set in the closes I know well. I've grown to appreciate and be unnerved in turn by the excellent writing and amazing atmosphere of the podcast. I'm a fan of MR James and the BBC adaptations of such and was gratified to notice from reading the forums that the atmospheric parallels I picked up from that are not just my imagination!

Forgot to do this earlier (also I'm kinda bad at introducing myself). Greetings, everyone! Fan from Germany here. Found the Magnus Archives while searching for more good horror podcasts and love it immensely! Then listened to the gaming podcast and love it just as much! You people are all amazing! I like talking to people (and can get a bit wordy at times), but I also have bad social anxiety and depression, which makes it hard for me to start talking to people and, often, to answer in time. So should anyone ever write something to me, be assured I'm incredibly thrilled and happy about it, I just might need a bit to answer. It's definitely not that I don't want to talk to you! Also, if you spot grammar and/or syntax errors, please tell me, that's the only way for me to get better. (And I sometimes add emotes much more often than I should at my age. u__u)

Oh my, thank you so much for the warm welcome, Oneiros! I already saw that you all are incredibly nice here! This level of interaction with fans is something I never saw anywhere. Another huge indication that you're all wonderful people! ♥ And what a nice surprise! That was really good, where did you learn German? (I'd be alle for everyone, alles is for everything. )

Hello there everyone, and happy new year! I'm Story, the new producer for the (amazing) Magnus Archives podcast. Got started listening a while ago on a friend's recommendation and couldn't get enough. Listened to it every morning on my walk in--a commute which involved walking through a forest & graveyard to a human bone laboratory, no joke, so perhaps you can sense a trending theme in here somewhere. Anyway, very nice to meet you all! Looking forward to chatting more and getting some of that red string everyone seems to be going on about.

New hooked listener to "The Magnus Archives" all thanks to my daughter. We were discussing really good writing has no extraneous adventures but all ties together. She mentioned I should have a listen. Well she was spot on with this recommendation. I'm still somewhere in season two - feeling a bit like a creeper reading your conversations on the episodes - thought I should say "hello" and I'm so impressed.
