Well, that was visceral wasn't it folks? But as episodes go, it was packed full of meaty goodness... (sorry) Ugh. I'm so glad I wasn't eating when I listened to this. Lots of juicy details in this one as Jared Hopworth seems to make a reappearance (after MAG 17) and the principles of flesh are apparently woven into his narrative. Hector Laredo's fate is particularly disturbing, maybe even more so coz I've been watching a number of survival horror Let's Play streams of late (Haunting Ground, Resident Evil 7). This is a lovely piece of storywork, hitting the tropes well, as we get all the grisly details from Gregory's perspective, nerves jangling as we fear for his escape even though we know he survives to tell the tale. And bonus points for a jam-packed post-statement and supplemental for the world-building. Nice to see some of The Archivist's disdain for things outside of the job return - does this suggest a recovering mental state? Or maybe he's just trying to make sure he covers his own tracks more carefully. And I must say, that is far more info on Elias than I was expecting to get. But how much of that is tinged by The Archivist's own paranoia? On a slightly different tone - although the PI is convinced that the white brick in Hector's briefcase is a block of drugs, I have to say that when Ukrainian mobsters were mentioned (and with the ep title), my first thought was that it's a block of salo (Ukrainian rendered pork fat), but 'lard mule' doesn't quite have the same cachet as 'drug runner', does it?

Two Slavic white guys? ^Circus ^^of ^^^the ^^^^Other?
A delivery company? ^Breekon ^^and ^^^Hope?
Even if it isn't B&H, I'd estimate a link between this strangely-meat orientated delivery company and those who delivered meat to Toby Carlisle in MAG18. Apart from anything else, Wandsworth and Stockwell are too close for comfort. Fun fact, the police raid this place around about the time Toby Carlisle dies of gangrene and his flat starts to smell.
Also, Jared seems to lost the extra limbs he had by the end of MAG17, the creepy so-and-so. (There's an unfinished thought of Adekoya's in MAG17 that bugs me whenever I relisten to it... It's something like "and then - and this is what really gives me nightmares. Anyway, I screamed" and it's absolutely infuriating and probably totally understandable (or even planned!))

Great Episode,
Same as Cannon, I thought about Breekon and Hope, although I didn't connect to the circus, but that totally makes sense.
good to see Jared is keeping a day job, I imagine being a creepy bone turning monster does get tiresome. good to keep yourself busy. although what/where/who was he offering the bones to? I don't know if that was described more or not, perhaps another paranormal dimension we keep hearing about. is it one of Michaels and Jared appeases him with offerings of bones?
Also got to mention the fact that the computer seems to know Sasha is Not Sasha.

Great. On the ONE day this week I decided against the usual PB&J sandwich and went with the bologna and mayo. Thanks a lot, Jonny.
(That's not to say the episode was bad. FAR FROM IT! It's just....I started giving suspicious looks at my sandwich.)

Also got to mention the fact that the computer seems to know Sasha is Not Sasha. It also reminds me of spooniermist's many-dimensions theory - if Michael is the arm of the fractal hallway, could Jared be the same for the meat dimension? Or even Prentiss for the hive dimension? (Of course, Jared has much more to do with bones than meat, and disposing of the bodies seems more of a hassle to him - but there are interesting parallels!) I kinda just assumed Not-Sasha didn't know Sasha's password so she keeps locking herself out (Y) Or it's the same reason statements will only record on tape
Hey Archivist, maybe don’t mention your secret police contact in the official addendum of the statement, yeah?

Heh, I thought that. Wiki page is up. I wonder if her computer kept getting photos of her on, but the Not-Sasha entity automatically removes them? I'm not sure this makes any sense. The tooth-hole made me think of the meat factory, and Toby-who-became-that-meat-thing-with-eyes. I'm not sure about if this links to Jared and the Boneturner's Tale. Maybe that dimension gave him the power, but needs to be appeased? Also, what's his end goal? Surely there's a reason that he keeps jamming bones in himself, does he just want to be more giant? I kinda love the idea that he is making some sort of mental Rube Goldberg machine inside himself, with bone marbles rolling down coiled femurs, knocking into collarbone levers... Although I feel it's more likely that he's trying to give himself bone wings or something. That would also be badass.

I actually lived in Stockwell a few years back and Jared would've fit right in with his bone wings ;-) Plausible..!
