I love the podcast that you have put out. It is one of my new favourite things.
However I was just wondering what debuffs Zolf's leg actually has. It is mentioned that he takes stealth and climbing debuff's as well as moving at half base speed only. Is there anything else? also is there any other way to implement prosthetics within the game world?

The main two references we are using are from the srd. Missing Limbsexplains the penalties for the missing leg. It affects certain skills, restricts certain combat action and combat maneuvers. Prostheticsexplains how to then mitigate those penalties, and what options are available. Zolf has both a hinged calf and a metal peg leg. It is possible rainbowdeity may have more to add.

Hey Overlord! Greetings to the forum. Be warned, when diving down this rabbit hole, there are a LOT of variations for missing limbs and prosthetics in pathfinder. Sir Robin is referring to the right sources but as the game continues I will be messing around with some fun prosthetics at some point. I would say be warned, the debuffs are phenomenally big.

They're pretty bad - also the rules are rather unhelpful in this regard. The rules for Peg leg's refer to the missing limb as a leg, but then give numbers based on the debuffs for a missing foot. So it goes with such massive systems.
To summarise, the rule I'm going with are with a 'missing foot' (as the limb is severed below the knee and the 'missing leg' rules seem to assume you don't have a knee to bend) mitigated by the peg leg. This mitigates some of the debuffs of the missing foot - namely reducing my skill check penalties from a -5 to a -2 and allows me to both run and charge (although my speed remains at 10ft).

Also I'm very proud that I'm currently the only cast member with a thread dedicated to a body part.

Did you see the hinged calf prosthetic? Rules wise it converts a missing leg into a missing foot.

True, but I'm not actually missing that part of my body - the severance was below the knee, so one would assume the peg leg would cover that, however the inconsistency in the peg leg rules makes that unclear.

Also I'm very proud that I'm currently the only cast member with a thread dedicated to a body part. I'd suggest that's because this is a family friendly forum for a family friendly game and we all play nicely. Otherwise I think Zolf's leg would be among the least remarkable body parts.
