Time to wrap up events in Paris with a nice, neat little bow. They've got what they came to find and it's time to head on to pastures new, right? Nothing more to see here...
So, Wilde is finally of sounder mind again... well, sound enough to finally have that conversation that La Gourmande's 'enterprising associates' tried so rudely to interrupt. And the news from the Americas isn't sounding great. If they do indeed have the Simulacrum plans and can potentially draw upon Tesla & Lovelace's expertises, there may be some interesting lines in the sand sooner rather than later.
But what of their sojourn in Paris? Do you think they've been successful here? And what of Brutor - is he to be a literal down and out in Paris and London?
And now, the spires of Prague await the arrival of our noble adventurers...

And what of Brutor - is he to be a literal down and out in Paris and London? You'll notice that Brutor isn't a regular for season 2, sadly after his huge popularity in season 1 his contract demands were well beyond what the show could afford.

You cannot expect me to root for the London Rangers (they'restillworkingonthename) when they're heading off against Nicola Tesla, Ada Lovelace, and the American Revolution. This goes against everything I've ever known and loved.
...
Longer post to come, but know that, my heart? She aches.

So many great moments in this episode:
- Sasha reminding Zolf that he must have had worse days because he now has TWO legs! (Come on Zolf, glass half full, mate.) - Alex-as-Wilde desperately trying to drag everyone out of Paris and move the story arc along. ("Which bit of impending dragon attack are you not understanding... look, forget the civilians, everyone sensible has left already...OH SHUT UP AND GO TO PRAGUE ALREADY.") - Bertie needing to be slapped awake. - A gratuitous Cirque de Soleil joke.
I really enjoy the camaraderie in the group. There is a lot of "yes, and..." response to ideas between all the participants.

This is one of my favourite episodes this season. We (sort of) see a meritocrat for the first time and the meta advances nicely. Wilde also gets to flex his magical muscles a bit more. Everyone's on fine form on the roleplay front and the sound design (?) is really on point.
I really liked the gnomes.

You'll get that when 4/5ths of the RQGaming crew have been in improv troupes But yeah, I'm a firm believer that a bit of improv experience/knowledge is a great boon to roleplaying.

Yes, the improv experience really comes through. I do quite a bit of creative facilitation at work and managing people who can't stop themselves from closing down the group's "flow" is a regular challenge for me - I am always very appreciative when I see (hear?) people who know how to be creative together!

Just catching up to this episode, and I cannot for the life of me understand the Meritocrat's name. Can someone help?

I can't quite remember which name comes up in this ep but from context it will either be Bolla Smok ("Meritocrat of Magic", based in Prague) or Guivres ("Meritocrat of Banking", based in Paris).
