Did anyone listen to episode 0, did anyone not listen to it? It's really useful for us to know what you think of all our episodes, but it'd be great to hear what kind of behind the scenes stuff you'd be interested in.
We've recorded up to episode 13 now, and a recent level-up gives us the chance to potentially record another metacast. If there's any character or background stuff you'd like to hear, let us know and we'll do our best to incorporate it.

I liked it. It was good to hear some character background (I'd like to hear a bit more on this). The Strength/Dex/Charisma/Wisdom/Int choices led me to think you were being efficient but then it was really interesting to hear why people had chosen certain feats and lack of limbs: "I have done THIS. It's a complete waste and I'll never use it but I am doing it for the Roleplay!" then hearing others sound embarrassed saying, almost apologetically "Erm...I've chosen this because it's really useful and without it I'm rubbish". I think it would be cool if we the listeners could vote feats for Bertie

We're trying to find a balance between being interesting and being powerful. We don't want to make any character useless, but equally we're not trying to make epic winners of brokendom.
Character backgrounds is high on our list of things to include more of. I think you will find that some of it will emerge IC in future episodes, and soon enough we should have brief backgrounds and character portraits up on the website.
I don't know about voting for feats for Bertie, but if you want to make suggestions I am sure they will be considered.

I was not familiar with this feat so I went and looked it up. www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/elephant-stomp-combatIt is amusing - great flavour. We've been talking about ways in which Bertie could develop, I wasn't considering overrun and similar stuff, I find the whole combat maneuver system a bit more complex than I would like, but it is something to consider. It's a shame that it only allows attacks with natural weapons (or unarmed).

I only remember Elephant Stomp as people used to say it was the worst feat ever. Seems perfect for him

Ha! Yeah, it seems a bit underpowered. I don't know the feats well enough to know all the bad ones, I mostly just know all the obvious ones.

Bertie can already pomp and pageantry any stomp, I think him crashing into stuff with a fluttery flourish is perfectly in keeping

Me and James have been working on some ideas for some cool (slightly underpowered yet flavourful) things Bertie can do. I don't want to spoil them here, so you'll have to wait and see if we get that far.

All suggestions for feats are more than welcome although I won't be putting it to a vote. Ultimately Bertie is James' creation to do with what he will. (Although if he tries to put it to a vote I might show him just how messed up a character's build can become...)

Goin back to the OP, I listened to the metacast first and was really glad I did so. It was very good at setting up the party and introducing the rapport you all have (particularly since this isn't immediately obvious at the start of Episode 1 as Bryn is very quiet up until his intro and apart from his name Ben only says one thing in the first 16 minutes).
Character breakdown and decision-making was well done and, I think, very useful in giving us things to look out for as well, to see where and how they come up in gameplay. Same with outlining the process and principles Alex is using as GM.
As for future metacasts, one on world-building and the nature of this 'London-through-a-lens' gameworld, I think would be very useful to give listeners a bit more of a campaign grounding.

When can we next expect a meta-cast, and can we ever expect a part of a meta-cast to be mailbag-esque? I of course love the gameplay, but the behind-the-scenes is in itself fascinating and entertaining

We're really hoping to get some metacasts recorded in the next few weeks. The good news is that metacasts will be much quicker to go from recorded to released than regular episodes (we record our normal episodes pretty far ahead). The bad news is there are certain unavoidable logistical problems that may prevent us from getting these recordings done. So cross your fingers that we can work something out.
We have plans for a whole bunch of metacasts and mailbag is certainly near the top of the list. Though I don't know if we have enough questions to make that viable quite yet. Let us know if there are any other topics you'd like us to address in the metacasts.

Sadly, due to problems with Edinburgh logistics we haven't been able to record more Metacasts yet but I am hoping we can record one at the next session. I would LOVE to do mailbag metacasts but we haven't really had that many questions yet. I will likely get in the habit of answering one email question with the cast at the end of every episode and then when a backlog builds up we will do some mailbags. So I guess what I am saying is if you sling us a question to mail@RustyQuill.com (and it isn't offensive etc.) we will answer it on air. I'd love our first on air Q to be from yourself Freenie. Once we have saved up enough cash I am hoping to have a voicemail function on our site which would allow people to then record their questions and have their own voice be part of the show but that is a bit far off.
