Wherein we learn the power of words and the chains they forge, mystically and mentally. And all the Rangers will probably be thinking carefully about the ramifications of being 'on brand' Interesting to see the contract that binds Bertie and naturally, when Alex reeled off the requisite clause for one of the breaches, the bit of me that's still a compliance officer wonders how much of it is actually extant and written down... Also good to see the mysteries piling up - what sinister machinations will they uncover at the Arc de l'Ordinateur?

I really enjoyed the way Alex did the gnome lawyer voices. It was unsettling, but in a good way.
Sasha had some beautiful moments this week, and I liked the gargoyle interlude.
And Hamid's going out on a date with a wee gnome. That's going to be fun!
The plot line seems to be inching towards something at the moment. I'm expecting all hell will break loose in the near future!

Ten similes for the description of undisclosed things:
Like a wooden deck chair withstand mouse trap mechanism of bungee cord springs and very splintery edges.
As a cylindrically round man with greasy skin down a water slide flowing with extra virgin olive oil.
Like a stealth bomber inspired Teflon coated slinky down Escher designed staircase chasing a greyhound lure made of magnets.
Like a lie, if words were urine and sadness soaked paper flowers made by young children in a third world sweat shop and lies were simply the blithe acceptance of this for something acceptable.
Like a recycled razor where the moisturing strips have been replaced with pore cleaning glass shards and the blade guards are electrified.
As a winning lottery ticket to a man whos just been told he allergic to enjoying anything, ever. No not even that thing.
Like a barrel of apples thrown off a dive bomber into a wind turbine, and the apples all have needles and stuff stuck in them because it's been a slow couple of years in the sabotaged fruit market on Halloween.
Like sneezing a tracer round.
Like building a fort out of toilet paper rolls then declaring war on the clipper lighter company.
As a heart attack, if the heart was proficient with exotic weapons and had a lawful evil alignment.

Sorry that I'm a bit large to this, moving back to my parents for the holidays has meant that I am a bit behind on rusty quill and the Magnus archives (both of which are brilliant by the way), but I have now caught up. I liked that even though the episode was set in 2 buildings, the plots that came out of them were brilliant, I half expected Sasha to now only find her way round Paris by looking at the hotel and working backwards. I love the nature of both parties at the Arc de L'Ordinateur doing completly different, but also working to their strengths. Also, magics being cast by unknown individuals, sounds incredibly interesting. Will listen to the next episode when it comes out.
