Wherein we get a different perspective on the actions of a serial killer and have to figure out whether these were just the crazed actions of a deluded cult or an indication of actual magickal deeds being done... This is probably my favourite episode so far - the attention to the sensory cues and feelings is fantastic, as well as all the imagery and focus on vision/sight/light, so deftly handled that you don't realise it's probably more important than the murder component. Serious kudos to Jonny for this one!

Very good episode, also liked the fact that the emphasis was not on the murders themselves, but how they were seen by family members and other people who were near them. Also (this being slightly off topic) but what are the words in Latin that are said during the advert on Rusty Quill gaming, I can get two of the words, but am not sure of the 3rd word.

YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE MENTIONED THAT THEY WERE ON THE CREST!!!!!!! But a nice motto none the less, you have now made me attempt to see more into the institute, after translating the motto into English. I believe that I may have a some slight idea for what the institute actually does.

To be fair, it's not a massive spoiler: the crest is one of the first pieces of art I was hoping to have done.
And I'm sure I have no idea what you're talking about.

I'm beginning to think that perhaps Gertrude Robinson was a much better archivist than Mr. Sims cares to credit her for...

I'm not sure Mr Sims gives much credit to anything or anyone.

I'm not sure Mr Sims gives much credit to anything or anyone. No retreat, no surrender. Leave all the bodies covered.

This episode, focusing as it does on a familial killer, reminded me of a story my esteemed old mother wrote. Her story was considerably darker, where the child is as much a victim as the victims themselves; the pivot of pain being, again, the parental figure. But it juxtaposed with this story perfectly, as this one actually gives a sense of hope for violent acts, and hers... well, it was more about natural justice and a sense of vengeance as potent as spitting in the gale. This story started a chain reaction of connections in my mind; and that is how it ended up. (I must just stress my aged parent is a witty and lighthearted women. I was shocked by what she came up with. Just goes to show the untrammeled depths between a child and a parent...)
