The Lore Podcast has one allegedly in the works, and although I enjoy me some creepy nonfiction, the Magnus Archives lends itself so beautifully to an episodic series. How can we make this happen?

There are definitely episodes that I could see working well on TV, particularly as narration over a 'dramatic re-enactment' as it were. Alas, it would take considerably more resources and contacts than we have available at present. If you know any TV producers, though, you could always point them our way :-)
We want to produce some kind of video content in the near future, so maybe we'll be able to bring you folks something Magnus-related if we can work out a good way to present it.

I myself don't know any TV Producers, however my Ex is a freelance Film maker/ Photographer. I've been working tirelessly to get him to listen to TMA but to no avail currently. If he did I'm positive he would love to try and make some short movies with some of these story's.
Ill keep working on it.

Hey guys. What Anil said. It's amazingly difficult to get stuff on British Tv. The days of monty Python getting a series just because they asked nicely are long gone.
For what it's worth we are currently working hard to get our business in order so that we can start looking at video. But like Anil said it takes a lot of time and money to make video that isn't rubbish and currently everyone working on TMA is doing so for free. We won't move onto video until we have launched our merch, patreon, Corp sponsorships etc. So that we can pay for the extra work.

Also - I would say that while we can do a lot of cool special effects in audio, we do not currently have anywhere near the budget or specific skillsets available to make good visual SFX.
I'd be quite keen I think to potentially have a few "video supplements" to sit alongside TMA, but it's very much an audio show in its twisted, sharpened bones. Even if Mr Cathode himself, King of TV, offered me eighty hundred hundred pounds to write it for TV, I think what came out the other side would be VERY different to The Magnus Archives as we know it, if not a different show altogether.

Plus I think Aaron Manke has a bit more in the way of money and resources and contacts from even before doing Lore.
Still. TMA'ing a Lo-Fi shadow puppet based statement with accompanying video would be pretty cool.

Money schmoney; you just need to pin your hopes to a dream and a wealthy Hollywood benefactor will take it from there, giving you ALL the FX and production value you need. And, Jonny, I'm possibly naive, but if you can weasel creative control and final sign-off into contracts, I believe the heart of the oeuvre would stay intact from podcast to screen.
At any rate, I live in Los Angeles. Let me know if I should stop shouting podcast URLs out of windows when Entertainment Types walk by.

I love TMA as much as the next obsessive-ultra-fan (getting Sim's face tattooed on my back tomorrow #TMAforlife), but I don't think a TV show would be the same, for me the essence of TMA is the unknown and submersing yourself in TMA whilst listening to Jonathan's dulcet tones. Not sure how well that would translate to the big/small screen.
Not that I wouldn't watch the shit out of a TV show, but it wouldn't be the same.

I work in film post production so have access to the software and a certain amount of knowledge. I'm not an animator though!!! I know I'm on the other side of the world, but am happy to volunteer my services if you ever need them

That's genuinely good to know Seeling! I can't speak more but that might be very useful to know in the long term.

And so the empire spreads...
I'm quite excited about our far flung fans. One from New Zealand, one from LA, and I am sure I have seen a Canadian or two posting on our Facebook page. These are all places I want to visit too! We should do a RQ World Tour!

LA's a great place for cons, too, wink-wink. Who wants to cosplay as the Jane Prentiss to my Horrifying Parasitic Worm?
