Honorary mention on the Magnus Archives, achievement get! Although, it does worry me a bit if I'm part of the canon now, not too keen on those worms... Just because you and Samwise are now in the universe of the Magnus Archives doesn't mean you'll be killed off. It just means you could be. By me. On a whim.

Although, it does worry me a bit if I'm part of the canon now, not too keen on those worms... Ooh I didn't think about that... we're now the cannon fodder... the red shirts as you will! Well said, Ensign Samwise (is it ensign? Not even sure) And yeah, I misunderstood the date thing, I thought he meant the last three digits were the year. However, at least one, First Hunt, isn't consistent with this, as the case number states that it should have been recorded in November, but it's stated as September. Further research is needed. EDIT: did I ever mention how great Jonny is? What a swell guy!

Well, he does say that even Gertrude didn't appear follow her own system at times (hers or an inherited system, hmm?) so it *could* just be mis-labelling rather than something more mysterious.

I love the Lovecraftian feel of this episode, though I too was exclaiming that Brazil speaks Portugese and not Spanish, though that would explain her difficulty in finding work!
She was actually very very lucky she didn't mention her last ship had had bad luck, she would have been considered a Jonah and might have been picked over Sean Kelly as Jonahs were supposed to be dispatched pretty darn quick!

I finallllly figured out where I recognized Tim's voice from. He sounds a lot like Tark Pastry, from the Big Finish Judge Dredd audio drama "I love judge dredd" but that would make Tim voiced by Nicholas Briggs, which, cool if you got him. Otherwise, I liked the first part. It was fun

It was fun Wow, if we had Nicholas Briggs on board, I'm pretty sure there'd be significant pressure (from me, I won't lie) to get some Doctor Who references into Magnus... No, I can safely say we don't have the budget or connections for that, though it's nice to think that if anyone from Big Finish is here and Briggs starts asking for too much money, we have a cheaper alternative waiting in the wings

Also, as a note, the iTunes feed describes the voyage as Southampton to Porto do Itaqui, and not the other way round (as is correct) I'd not be surprised if this was intentional -- after all Tim's conversation shows that Jonathan sometimes gets the digits in the wrong order...

For someone with a maths degree it's embarrassing how much difficulty I'm having with a string of 7 digits...

I'm led to believe that once you're past A-level, Maths doesn't really involve numbers any more :-)

Ergh. For someone with a maths degree it's embarrassing how much difficulty I'm having with a string of 7 digits... In your defense, it is designed to be deliberately obfuscatory. So much so that, as we have discovered, even the writer falls foul of the numbers on occasion
