Things are drawing to a close in Paris as the final barriers of memories seem to have shattered. Brutor remembers. And Brutor is angry.
The mood is sombre deep below the Arc de l'Ordinateur as difficult decisions need to be made, we find that fire leaves indelible marks in multiple ways and the Rangers consider that their return to the surface is likely to be somewhat less rapturous than before.
I have to admit that I was somewhat teary as Sasha made her peace, some really lovely work there from Lydia and some greatly nuanced emotion from everyone. Just what repercussions are waiting for our intrepid heroes in this reality?
Stay tuned folks as we close out Season 1 and the year in 2 weeks time...

Also, I can't be the only one who immediately jumped to thoughts of #Magnus when Alex referenced the corkboard/string conspiracy-esque stuff in Henri's secret office? (Although, given Bryn timestamped this episode as around June we'd have only been 12 or 13eps in...)

Yeah, given how long ago we recorded this, I don't think the red string brigade was properly up and running.

Since RQG world exists in an alt-history version of our own world is there a Magnus institute in RQG world? Perhaps this is a wireless broadcasted series in this universe...

Poor Zolf. He sounds completely done. He's had a pretty rubbish week, all things considered.

There is, but through some twist of fate it's actually called 'The Mugnus Archives' and is all about collecting dangerous magical drinking receptacles.

I would think he's had the worst week of everyone, since he'll also be the one to have to explain all this to the authorities, although everyone is also having a rough time. I'm worried for our heroes (and Bertie). Given that Mr. Ceiling has been controlling a lot of the financial system, that's going to have some interesting ramifications, as well as the fact that Bolla Smok is dead.

I have to admit I had fun making the reality of turning mr Ceiling off as different from the fantasy as possible. I was just a bit sad that the season was so well... sad. Thankfully we are well into recording S2 and it is much more pulpy and fun.

You have a strange definition of fun. I'm on my 5th backup character already.

I was really intrigued by Hamid's extra-shiny makeover in this episode. Is he still gonna be shiny and scaley after he heals up? Why didn't he want Zolf to heal him? Just, like... these kind of slow transformations are something I always find intriguing in fiction, and I've never seen a sorcerer played before where they were totally clueless about their ancestry, so I'm excited to see how that develops. Like, most RP characters are generally more inclined towards an attitude of "I'm turning into a dragon? That's awesome!" whereas I feel like Hamid is, uh, probably gonna have a pretty impressive freakout whenever he learns the root of what's happening. Starting with a very high-pitched "I what?! Oh dear D:"
