The recap takes us to Paris via incidents in Dover, above and below the English Channel and Calais, and the Rangers stumble around the city in search of answers. Cue missing persons, rooftop chases, reckless endangerment and abandonment of friends, ill-advised spelunking, monsters in the dark, marvellous feats of bio-engineering, robotic philosophy, Wilde!, memory manipulations, existential crises, false hope and the collapse of significant portions of economic infrastructure. All in day's work, all told.
Oh and a Meritocrat is apparently dead.
So... yeah, that happened. And we learn/remember that Sasha and Brutor are the true stars of the show.
We hope you enjoyed Season 1 of Erasing the Line! Season 2 will start 17th May as the London Rangers (we're still working on the name) decide where to go next on their world-spanning adventures in search of answers to the mystery of the Simulacrum.

I am very disappointed we didn't get to relive why the people of Paris were laughing at Bertie. Hopefully we get that on a tee-shirt.
This catch up was really helpful! Really looking forward to the new season.

Just because we worked on the name doesn't mean the name is working.

So I've actually listened to the recaps now. I've a few questions:
1) Isn't Brock Sasha's cousin? It's mentioned several times in this episode that they were childhood friends, but I'm sure I've heard that he was a Racket.
2) Is Sasha's surname Racket or Rackets (or is it Rackett/s? Raket/s?!)? I'm sure Bryn said "Sasha Rackets, she comes from the Racket family", or did I just mishear?
Also, I really didn't understand what Le Ordinators were at all during the podcast, was this addressed in the backstory at some point that I've not read? I'm fairly certain that it's never explicitly stated what they are, I thought they were a collection of people, but then it seems like everyone thought they were giant super computers which are actually a collection of brains... I'm kinda confused. Also, are they a recent thing?

DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING OF THE ABOVE POST.

I think the Meristocrats are dragons, not sure about Le Ordinators, though. You may be right!

Le Ordinateurs were a bunch of 'computers' in the original sense of the word. (Anyone seen hidden figures?) A bunch of people doing mathematical calculations to keep the system running. They were the operators and maintainers of a bunch of dungeon-punk difference engine style machines (a la Babbage and Lovelace) which they used to run everything. 'Everything' in this sense being the world's major banking centre and stock exchange centre (which in the real world historically ended up in London after starting in Amsterdam (more or less), in the RQ world clearly this ended up in Paris due to Meritocratic influence). Towards the end of season 1, the London Rangers (we're still working on the name) found out that this was a lie. Le Ordinateurs and their calculations were just for show, because the actual power behind the system was 'Mr Ceiling', Francois Henry's necromantic brain machine.

As for Sasha's surname; Check the character sheet on the patreon maybe?
