Well apart from the sound they made, the skeletons really weren't that scary. Especially for Hamid, who managed to spend the whole fight safely on the other side of the room.
The lawyers on the other hand, were much scarier. Any guesses on what secrets our heroes might be hiding from each other?

Bertie is definitely trying to save a failing Pork Pie factory, but can't bear to admit it because that's what commoners eat.
Hamid is actually a dragon with a halfling transmogrification spell cast on it, which is slowly unravelling.
Sasha is a spy from the Dwarven empire and is in fact two short dwarves stacked on top of one another. The top one lost their little finger in a mining accident and they decided to riff on that detail. Barrat was just an out of work character actor.
Zolf actually has no secret backstory, but is just pretending to seem cool.
Alex actually has no idea what Pathfinder is. He came up with the idea in the bath and was astounded when he stumbled upon a website that seemed to have already transcribed his ideas to digital form. He just keeps saying random words and is confused as to why everyone else seems to be buying into it.

Beautiful episode. Nice pacing and character revelations, seems like Bertie's may have more bluff than buff(o) Fight was dealt with readily but then that wasn't really the point of it and it served nicely to set up the lawyers. Applause for the attempted use of scurvy. One question: Was the traditional skeleton damage reduction being applied? As far as I can remember, none of the party are wielding a bludgeoning weapon. The downside to using this, though, would be that Sasha could pretty much not hurt them at all.

"Have you not seen how ladylike I am? I am distressed right now!"
"Why do lawyers need to know if I'm a damsel?"
"I should probably say right now, I got kicked out of university. Cause then it won't be a surprise when it somehow comes along very soon."
"Why were you kicked out?" "I don't want to talk about it."
Between Sasha and Hamid you can count on someone it be stammeringly flabbergast at least once every episode.

I listened to this show for a second time this morning. So much good stuff in there! And Lawyers? Terrifying! - What sources were the ones Alex used when Bertie rolled the critical 1? They sounded very useful! And if the adventurers are going to Paris does it mean Alex will have to play all the NPCs in French? It will it be like 'Ello 'Ello with accents? I'm excited.

The app that Alex was using is called iFumble i think. I am pretty sure the Rusty Quill twitter account tweeted about it recently. I think we will have to wait and see how Alex manages the increasingly diverse NPCs we're likely to encounter. Oneiros not sure about skeleton DR. like you, I got the impression it was not in effect, but don't know for sure.

The app is indeed ifumble wel, remembered! I actually speak passable French! (Although it has been a while...) If I remember correctly DR was in effect, they were just a bit rubbish!
Also for goodness sake rainbow deity! Every time you reveal everything I have to go back and change it again!

I'm relistening to the campaign, and I caught this bit, "We may have to cut funding to Mr. Carter's expidition..." !!!! as in Howard Carter??? So if the lawyers hadn't settled up, does that mean the Cairo raid never would have happened? And Hamid's family wouldn't have been torn as asunder? Alex, what a twisted web you weave!

I was thinking about Wiliam Carter, a canadian (?) botanist.
