Nope, no apologies for that musical reference So, the Rangers have escaped Mr Ceiling's burning subterranean lair, emerging to rapturous applause. They can go home now, right? All done and dusted. Heroes. Also, WIIIIIIILLLDE!

Clearly a less popular episode. Sad times.

Possibly due to off schedule release?

I choose to believe every single listener has quit forever because the party didn't suffer enough in this episode.

I actually assumed that it was put off by a whole week, only realised it was up when I was checking here for character sheets. Unrelatedly, damnit Alex Newall, do you not check your PMs here?!

Okay, I'm confused.
Why was everyone cheering? Why would everyone be celebrating The Rangers (WSWOTN)? I didn't think people knew about what was going on. I didn't think that this would be a big celebratory end like that as it wasn't very public?
However, I have been a little confused by the latter half of the season (if only there was some sort of wiki or something), so I may be missing something.
So, are they all in some kinda dream land made by Mr Ceiling, or have I been listening to too much of The Magnus Archives and I'm looking for terrible horrible twists when there aren't any?

Hey, message replied to (sorry). Regarding being slightly confused yeah, the Parisian stuff did get a bit complex. Been working to make season2 a bit... Cleaner.

No worries! It's almost like you're disgustingly horrendously busy or something...
Listening to this episode again, there were so many things that were just amazing.
I loved Sasha this episode so much. Her trying to rationalise to Bertie to not go after the legs felt suitable, but her going after Brock's ghost was just heart breaking. I really wanted her to keep going and see where it took her, but I hope this is some decent closure for her, at least. I don't actually know what the thing was with Brock: was it just a childhood friend that she lost touch with?
Bertie was on top form as ever, loved him going back for the legs, even when everything was exploding. I really thought he wasn't going to make it (and had a feeling that the GM was trying to kill him. Don't worry, Alex, there's always a next time).
I really like Zolf's insistence that he's not going to use these robo-legs. He's such a stubborn dwarf, even if his life would be so much easier with some robo legs. I kinda wondered if Alex was trying to give him them as thanks for shooting himself in the foot (pun intended) and being down a leg from the start, but who knows.
Hamid was pretty crap.
Jokes! I also love Hamid and his basking in the glory of the crowd, and him totally forgetting to mention something to Wilde.
Really looking forward to the season finale and see the outcome for the party and world. It's a bit of a shame that this and Magnus Archives are going to finish at the same time, it'll be a very climatic few days, but then I'll have to wait another... 50 weeks for these stars to align again (or longer if RQG is fortnightly *sadface* )

Due to the RQG release schedule being fortnightly, we're pushing later in the year for the Season 1 finale, plus there's the Hallowe'en special to look forward to! Magnus finale is this Thursday but we're already working on Season 2 and we'll have more definite info in Thursday's ep as to when it returns from season break.

Sorry I missed this episode being downloaded, may I blame being tangled in the red string which is the TMA.
Really good episode, I loved the quick thinking of Zolf to put Sasha on a floating disk before the whole thing fell. and her practised attempts at looking sad. the confrontation between Zolf and Sasha at the end!? poor hamid must have felt pretty awkward being apart of that. its really sad, they have both lost people close to them. I wonder who Zolf's is?
I am pretty confused who the ordinaturs are and their role in society (are they basically in charge of everything?), I think I need to re-listen to these again to understand. my thought is people didn't like the ordinatures and that's why they are happy the place is destroyed.
also what did Oscar mean when he said he is the Teams minder? I must have missed that bit.
really good episode, I loved how Alex was keeping up the pace by having bits of ceiling falling on the group.

We do have a few specials coming up so the finale for RQG is a while away.
Also things are a bit confusing at this stage but I think things will become clearer in the next couple of episodes.

I've somehow managed to catch up just in time for the finale. Hoo boy, I got lucky. I blitzed through the last ten episodes in the last few days, I found the series hard to get into at first, but as the characters grew I found myself getting more and more engrossed. Gotta say that Sasha is a particular example of this - I started thinking she would be a fairly one-dimensional "lone wolf" character, but she immediately proved me wrong, and I'm loving her character development.
Fantastic work as always, all - see you after episode 50!
