And if so, how does that square with his behavior in "A New Door," in which he seems to be actively trapping a woman? My thought in that episode was that since she had already seen the hallway dimension, she was damned and he had to claim her. Perhaps if she had managed to curb her curiosity about the yellow door, she'd still be alive. Though, the yellow door is kind of like a fishing lure in a way; if Helen Richardson hadn't gone through "The New Door", someone else would have eventually.

And with that, I'm caught up on all the episodes. I just discovered The Magnus Archives on Saturday (five days ago) and I've now binged through the whole thing.
This episode resonated a lot with me. When I was younger I performed these same "experiments" of seeing how long I could stay awake and then trying to break my record. I don't recall my final record, but it was well over 60 hours. You do start to see things, I can vouch for that much. Though the things I saw were innocuous; things like .jpgs seeming like .gifs when I saw them in my peripheral vision.
