Shucks! That's so awesome! Thank you very much!
I'll start a new thread for newbies and questions (I'm going to have to compile and write them down now!) I really appreciate it! And the special will be worth the wait! X

Hello All, I am Samantha Emery, I found Rusty Quill while looking for D&D podcasts to listen to, the one I first listened to "The Adventure Zone" by Maximumfun is pretty good but they are not that regular with episodes, so I found Rusty Quill at around episode 3 and got through all 3 in one day and was excited to listen to more. Its a great podcast to listen to while trekking round the Scottish countryside (I'm an ecologist and my job required me to spend hours walking around the hills of Scotland looking for animal poop). I have met both James and Alex at their respected comedy shows at fringe and thought both were fantastic, props go to both of you on the hard work you did on both shows. I felt like a massive fan girl when asking Ross for a photo but then completely regretted not asking Alex for one once I met him as he was super excited and lovey guy. I'm currently attempting to DM a game with some friends but being adults with jobs they don't seem to have much time to sit and play, also playing on Skype is one of the hardest things ever! well best stop posting now, animal poop isn't going to find itself, nice to meet you all and hear all your own stories Sam

Welcome! I heard stories of the fans that were bet up in the 'burgh and how lovely they were. Wish I could get back to the fringe one of these years.
Yeah, I played so much at Uni, and it's never been quite the same since, because scheduling is so very ttough. Have never attempted skype games, but they seem pretty tricky to me too.

Hey Samantha! Cheers again for coming to those shows, we really appreciate it.
Also, you were the first rusty quill fan I met in person, of course I was excited!

My head may explode when I finally meet a Rusty Quill fan out in the wild.

You mean other than the ones you knew beforehand? Or does that just mean we're the tame ones? *cue obligatory Pokemon reference*

Yeah, I have had plenty of compliments from people who already know me. But that's totally not the same. Imagine meeting someone because they had heard my voice through their computer. That's CRAZY!

The difficulty is its a lot easier recognising someone's face before recognising their voice, you guys make it easier with your about's section on your website.
you never know tho, you might have someone from a call centre ring you up trying to sell pot handles or something and they suddenly go "hang on?! are you Hamid?" and thus you have heard your first fan, which I would think would be more fitting.

Ha! That would be so brilliant.

Recent listener and already a fan. It rapidly became apparent that I should not listen to this podcast while working in my quiet cubicle farm job. I'm a veteran Pathfinder, having played it for about three years now. I specialize in making what other, more snooty players would consider 'unoptimized builds' fun and playable. Teaching newbies is one of my favorite pass times so if any of you need second or third opinions with your characters (class features, feats, and so on), I'd be happy to lend my experience.
Let's see... I'm an American (Democracy, Eagles, Guns, Capitalism, Hurrah) from Kentucky (I wear shoes and have all my teeth). Huge nerd despite an ostensibly respectable appearance, amateur archer, and connoisseur of various liquors with amusing bottles and label art.

Welcome! Glad you like our show. We're all about the unoptimised builds round here. There are a few threads where you can provide ideas for us to bear in mind for abilities and feats and such like.

Yeah, I used to spend time on some Pathfinder forums where people were rather nuts about it. Had to stop because it was bad for my blood pressure.
Too many people would say things like "A character has to do X damage a round to be considered viable. Anything else is terrible and you're terrible" And I got tired of saying "No, you don't get it, the point is to have FUN."

You will enjoy our "fun builds thread". All builds must be 15 fun to be viable. I wanna play a mer-Druid in a campaign based in the desert.

Also if you get the chance to leave us a review we would massively appreciate it! We have loads in the UK but very few elsewhere despite having loads of listeners. You could be a trend setter

I'll certainly see what I can do with that. Trying to spread you guys to my local cabal of freaks and geeks as well.
