Fire occured in September, so 04.09.2011, and the statement was given 14 months later. Given the subject lives in Manchester this is not necessarily suspicious.

One can only assume some sort of dark compact I just wish I had met Jonny. I get all these recordings via deadrops and just upload them. These implications are INCORRECT - we are one NORMAL HUMAN with 0-4 limbs and a single head for our eyes as is APPROPRIATE. Any sticky purple liquid found around the recordings you receive is NORMAL JAM. All is well and normal. DISREGARD THE NOISES.

It's not any sort of secret - I was going to discuss it in the Q&A, and I still will, but that's a month or so away, and there's no actual reason not to cover it now: As it stands, there are planned to be four or five seasons of The Magnus Archives, each with 40 episodes. If there are only four seasons, there will likely be some extra-long special episodes ending it. The question currently being discussed by Alex and myself is whether the final stories can support an entire season, and we haven't come down one side or the other yet - we both want a very strong ending rather than stretching it out just for the sake of extra content, but it may well be we can have both. Either way, Magnus should be going for at least another three years or so.

I'm all about the Leitner thread. Jonny, you've said you have an endgame for the story threads more or less, or at least how they connect. That's good of course, but the scary part is that makes me wonder if you know how TMA itself will end. Without spoiling too much, is there a scenario in which, if TMA continues to grow in popularity and fan support, the threads could be further expanded or new ones created? Or do you actually have a planned finite conclusion to TMA? I'm going to go into this in more detail in the post season Q&A, but I will say The Magnus Archives has, and has always had, a definite ending planned. It's a long way off, but it is finite series that will have a proper (hopefully) satisfying conclusion.

I sometimes wonder if the RQ team find our bizarre speculating amusing or painful Often intriguing, sometimes amusing, occasionally useful and, in a small handful of cases, slightly baffling. Never painful. Always very gratifying.

I just wanted to join in with the people who pay more attention than me and noticed discrepancies in previous episodes either way, we know that Gerard was into emerging sludge metal bands in the early naughties. *strokes chin* maybe that's somehow relevant... Well, in the interests of rewarding such observance, I will say that perhaps more relevant is that at such an early point in their musical career, it is unlikely the band were touring much beyond their home country. Not directly relevant, of course, but knowledge is its own reward, I'm sure

What an episode... As Kea says above, i can't really unpack it all right now, but I would like to compliment Gerard Kaey on his ability to time travel! He's wearing a Mastadon t-shirt in March of 2002, but their first album wasn't released until the end of May the same year Well, they did release an EP in 2001, and they formed in 2000 and toured widely before the release of that album.

Thirdly, again I'm reminded of Michael from MAG 26: A Distortion, his aloof manner is similar to the students, and something about him looking strange in a reflection... although Lionel didn't mention anything odd about the reflection of the person that he saw in the reflection. On the other hand, literally everything reminds you Michael I wonder also if there's anything in the fact that his colleague says she saw him in a classroom on a day that he says he wasn't there, so some kind of illusion or doppelganger, maybe? Just to be clear, the colleague said she saw his class there and assumed he was there teaching them. No doppelganger rabbitholes from this episode! But I agree with you in that 'Monster of the Week' are good thrown into the mix - it's just at this point the conspiracy theorists in us are thinking that nothing is *just* coincidental Yeah... it's gonna be embarrassing when we reveal none of it's connected and the archivist was dead all along

but I also larp - GMing a campaign, playing a campaign, and crewing in a campaign, which feels all very correct and balanced. I'd love to talk to other larpers about the scene in the UK at some point! Well on the RQ side Bryn, Anil and I are all definitely LARPers, I know Lyd's crewed a couple and I wouldn't be at all surprised if Jonny had too - putting on a costume and showing off seems to be his jam Not so much - I played in a Deadlands LARP awhile 'cause I love the setting, but generally I've just not got the time to get properly into it as a hobby, and I'm not the sort of person who can get involved in something like that casually. If I like something I tend to fall on the side of mild obsession, and I'm just too busy for a new one

Ergh. For someone with a maths degree it's embarrassing how much difficulty I'm having with a string of 7 digits... In your defense, it is designed to be deliberately obfuscatory. So much so that, as we have discovered, even the writer falls foul of the numbers on occasion

And yeah, I misunderstood the date thing, I thought he meant the last three digits were the year. However, at least one, First Hunt, isn't consistent with this, as the case number states that it should have been recorded in November, but it's stated as September. Further research is needed. First hunt statement was given December 9th 2010 - case number 0100912 - 010/09/12 -yyy/dd/mm

Honorary mention on the Magnus Archives, achievement get! Although, it does worry me a bit if I'm part of the canon now, not too keen on those worms... Just because you and Samwise are now in the universe of the Magnus Archives doesn't mean you'll be killed off. It just means you could be. By me. On a whim.

is this you Jonny? I feel so bad that they are being pretty rude about your accent.
Yeah. Felt like I should probably say something, given as how I'm something of an expert on my voice, but at the same time I really didn't want to be like "this is me and how dare you!" To be honest it's far funnier than it is hurtful - I largely just want to make sure people don't think it's put on as I feel going into it with that in mind could really affect their enjoyment (Incidentally, it's still weird interacting with you, Jonny, after buying your CDs and seeing you live as a totally different character (I hope you're a totally different character to Jonny deVille)) I contain multitudes

I wish they would pop themselves over here instead. they might get their questions about the podcast answered. Yeah - I've put a few comments on the sub-reddit, but never in "Hello I Am The Writer" style. Don't know why, it just feels weirdly like I'd be overstepping some how.

Shaun Kelly's body washed up two months after this statement was allegedly taken, but he was only in the sea for 5 days. Probably a misfiling of the case. I think Mr. Sims is really starting to need a nap... Or there's something else we're missing. October 2010 - Shaun Kelly goes missing January 2011 - Statement MAG 33 is taken (?) April 2011 - Shaun Kelly's corpse is found off the coast of Morocco, having only been at sea for 5 days. Yup. Sean Kelly's body washed up two months after the statement was taken, six months after he disappeared, and as far as could be determined had only been in the water for 5 days. All these things are true and accurate.
