I always choose to increase cr. It allows for more variety of encounter. You get whole new monsters AND can use the original ones. Just MORE of them.

Alex is not a merciful god - the Paris catacombs prior to Mr Ceiling established that. I’d allow characters the mercy of death.

I have tried some of these although a Wiki sound like a HUGE undertaking. My advice is give about 3 or 4 pages of info at outset then drip feed more world info during play when appropriate. For instance when they arrive in a new settlement you could give them an extra page detailing what they already know before they enter etc. Then they can write on he sheet any extra info they know and you are encouraging your players to keep story notes going forward.

Small, +4 dex and paladin is a VERY potent combo. I won’t lie, it’s difficult to work around as a GM. Not because he is unkillable, it’s just that it’s difficult to build encounters that still challenge him without running the risk of immediate Death for the whole party if he is taken out. I.e. overpowered enemy AND a player down is a BAD combo.

I love my White and golds because Ben hates me using them on the podcast. They are almost completely illegible. Hehe, awesome! (Poor Ben, though-) Do you use them for every game or *just* the ones you GM? I only use them when DMing with Ben.

For obvious reasons I can’t really weigh in on this one apart from to say thanks! It can sometimes feel like we are chucking these out into the void so hearing people actually engage with the characters is a huge deal for me.

I just want to thank everyone for the time and effort they have put into the wiki.
It’s incredible! I have genuinely begun using it myself occasionally when keeping tabs on stuff.
It’s an incredible tool and no small achievement given Jonny’s predilection towards complication. Thanks so much.

Hey to our recent new influx! We are all on board with binge listening! Just be sensible, we have had a distressing number of people get distracted while driving!

Doughnut based holidays for the win. I welcomed in the new year playing bananagrams and winning with the word “Shuriken”.

These episodes were genuinely some of the most fun I have ever had with his show.

Is this because she's so similar to all the characters you have played in all the previous one-shots? That's Mr Dr Janice on Ice. How DARE you tarnish his spotless legacy!
