Or: "What dreams may come"We're back! Although probably not with quite what you were expecting following the S4 teaser/trailer The Archivist is still laid up but at least he can receive visitors. And, boy, what a visitor - we finally get to meet they mysterious Dreamer, "Antonio Blake" or rather Oliver Banks - a figure many have wanted to know more about since his appearance back in MAG011 "Dreamer" . And I don't think he disappoints - as we finally discover how he straddles the boundaries of life and death, a veritable doctor of liminality. I have to admit, the denouement of his statement made my jaw drop - I had not expected that conclusion, and especially not delivered in such a throwaway way. And then there's Georgie's reaction to him. And the choice that was made. Whilst I say let's see what dreams may come. Perhaps, more accurately, we should see what comes of dreams?

And Hamid finally turns more dragon-y - really curious to hear more about how he deals with the changes once he has time to actually look at them in a mirror. XD He can now fly, throw fire(balls) and has claws when angry - he's pretty much a dragon already

OR: "Drowning in Feelings"Well, of all the classical elements, water does seem to be this group's biggest problem, doesn't it? As the mystery deepens beneath the Syria desert, questions continue to abound about what and why this facility is here. Just what have LOLOMG stumbled into? Can they figure it out, before their luck runs out? Quick thinking and an adamantine dagger may have saved the day here, but tensions between speed and safety have reared their head... although Hamid had the best line when he said that Sasha functioned pretty well when she was technically dead So, why the illusion? Why steal water? Who needs a vast underground base of villainish proportions? Stay tuned...

OR: "Onelty-One"We're back after the winter of specials to update you on the ongoing adventures of LOLOMG in and under the now-glassy desert plateau outside of Damascus. Things may be hot on the surface, but GM Alex is certainly turning up the heat as they descend into their investigation as well. Cramped spaces and calamitous footsteps abound for our luckless intrepid heroes, as Sasha's expertise proves invaluable and entertaining, much to her companions' chagrin. Trapped walkways, strange rooms, heavy doors... looks like we're entering a dungeon, folks! And what secrets are being kept behind something so obviously protected? Will our protagonists come out of this one unscathed? I'm guessing we don't mention the catacombs of Paris here...

We leave Damascus for a while, and head to the interdimensional nexus metropolis of Throne - a city steeped in conflict, twisted dimensions and even more twisted inhabitants. Welcome to the world of Kill Six Billion Demons, a webcomic by ABADDON (Tom Parkinson-Morgan, @orbitaldropkick) and its accompanying RPG, Broken Worlds, which is available to KSBD Patreon supporters. We also welcome Lydia to the GM's throne for the very first time and wish her all the luck in trying to keep Alex, Bryn & Helen on track to complete their objective. From the get go, the trademark RQGaming humour infuses the situation but can it cover the cracks of intraparty conflict as social status and demonic behaviours are displayed. Note that as a comic/setting dealing with demonic themes, there is a content note for more mature imagery, particularly as some of the descriptions may get a bit visceral. This is a 4 part special, and will be followed by a 2-part light-hearted caper with Grant Howitt's Honey Heist. RQGaming will resume the campaign proper with RQG111 on January 2nd 2019.

OR: "Crashing Through Glass Ceilings"
Or the episode where the 'p'-word is used far too many times for Alex's liking. So much so that he sends Azu plunging into the depths of the glassy plateau formerly known as Crank's Factory.
We also get some metacast kinda info for the fabled levelling-up process as Alex grudgingly hands out XP and upgrades.
And Wilde continues to be having a bad day, as he has to endure not only the elements but also the puns and wisecracks of LOLOMG.
Serious applause to Bryn for his commitment to Hamid's representation of drunkcasting.
But what mysteries will the team find down below the glass ceiling and can they solve Damascus' plumbing problem?

OR: "Dance Dance Revelation" OR: "Principles of Unity"
And in today's episode of Diplomacy & Dragons... Something tells me that Hamid is finally getting to let off some steam, even as Wilde's tension meter is ratcheting up as he is buffeted with even more revelations about LOLOMG's actions. Azu does some sterling talking, pulling out the stops and authority of Aphrodite when it counts, and the Sasha & Grizzop double-act gets even more honed. But where does the roadshow go from here? And how much of a smokescreen has the Cult of Hades been throwing? Is the fate of the world now truly in the hands of LOLOMG and Wilde?

This is something that often gets confused, because the nat 1/20 being auto-fail or success is supposed to only apply to combat - i.e. it's an auto-hit or auto-miss. It's just somewhere along the line, this got extrapolated out to *all* rolls (inc saves and skills), and many groups adopted it for simplicity.

OR: "Chains of Events" Today's episode of #RQGaming is brought to you wholesale by the letter 'W' for Wilde, workers, woes, water, wrangling, waiting and Wellington (some relation). The last of which we say Grizzop have obvious beef with. It seems like Wilde's aministrative headaches are only just beginning as the news that Hamid & Azu have brought does seem mightily concerning. And is it coincidental that the weather problems, notably water shortages, are exacerbating tensions as the workers descend upon Damascus, orcs vs goblins, like some Blood Bowl unionisation? (Hmm, Blood Bowl side adventure, livestreamed, to determine the winner of this little altercation... ) Anyone else find Grizzop's attempt to recruit Sasha to the cause of Artemis somewhat sweet? It's actually really interesting to see this aspect of serving a deity being espoused without it being preachy or a plot point. What new worries will RQG109 bring?

OR: "Underworld Knowledge"
We're back to the story in Damascus and its environs this week, as LOLOMG continue to question Barrat and learn some worrying information about the squizzards. Or at least they do, after *someone* passes an appropriate Knowledge check. So we have the Cult of Hades now on the scene, manipulating events from the darkness, responsible for Caesar's actions and the ultimate downfall of Rome. What is the end goal? Are they somehow linked to the army of simulacrums? Or do they just want LOLOMG out of the way for whatever their (probably) nefarious plans are? Special mention has to go to Lydia/Sasha for her amazing speech to Barrat and the heartfelt desire for justice & his punishment to mean something. Just awesome IMO. Plus the denouement as they confound Wilde with their competence. Icing on the cake, methinks.
