That was a lot of fun. The music was a joy, and thank you to Lydia for raising that most neglected of roleplaying issues, going for a wee when you're caught short.
Everyone survived! Fingers crossed this particular ragtag band of misfits returns for another holiday special.

I've started listening to other actual play podcasts where the players know they won't have much of a problem winning any fight chucked at them and the tension just isn't there. There have been several sequences of RQG episodes where I've had to listen to the next one (or two, or three) because someone was in genuine danger and I was worried!
I'll probably feel differently the next time I'm cursing Alex because Sasha or Hamid are nearly dead (again) but I think the danger being so real is an important part of the storytelling. It lets it stay closer to audio drama, further from dicking around with your friends. I'd certainly want a game I was playing in to be nicer to me!

I've been meaning to post on this thread for a few weeks but haven't quite got together what I wanted to say - I've enjoyed this season so much, just posting to say that it was great didn't seem enough. But it was brilliant, I've had so much fun listening, and I eagerly anticipate season 2 (but hope everyone, especially Alex, gets the opportunity for a nice break in between).
I'm currently planning a game I'm going to run, which I doubt I ever would have done before. So thank you!

I particularly enjoyed the final one, which seemed to vacillate between Welsh and Irish. An accent within an accent, almost. A particularly meta bit of acting.

Poor Zolf. He sounds completely done. He's had a pretty rubbish week, all things considered.

This one brought a genuine lump to my throat - the one-two punch of the mechanical man telling Hamid that he couldn't give up because Sasha needed him and Sasha leaving Zolf with a really good dagger to keep him safe. My favourite episode to date - the gradual unease the team have with how well everything seemed to be going was chilling.

As no one has said it yet... Link to MAG15: Lost Johns' Cave? Isn't there actually a bit of trickery with the title of that one? The episode is Lost John's Cave, but didn't the Q&A say that the real system is Lost Johns' Cave? My pet red string theory for that is the shift to the singular John is meant to be a link back to Mr Sims - I've been waiting for a reference back to it.
