I'm glad you're interested! I'll go and make a thread in Related Chat. I might have to start my relisten from the beginning (again).

Definitely do it! Maybe we could start a relistening thread? I know I'm picking up on interesting things I don't want to add to the old threads in case first time listeners get spoiled.

Or did we witness the distinct lack of the archivists power to compel I wondered if the archivist has the power to compel truth. These people are making stuff up, so there was nothing to compel.

A really interesting episode. I've seen PCs become NPCs because the player left, but the idea of handing them over to the psychopath GM while still in the room to find out what fate befalls them fills me with a little dread. Excited for season 3!

Animorphs spin-off podcast?! I had a child just so I'd have someone else to talk about them with. It's completely unrelated that my current campaign character is a bear shapeshifter.
I find the idea of Elias GM'ing a TMA game of Vampire: the Masquerade absolutely delightful.

Did we ever get an answer to the final round of I Spy?

There are some excellent questions here. I'm excited to record this episode. I'm gonna add one, we'll see if it gets included: Alex - why can't you ever let nice things happen to the characters? Why can't you let them be happy? If only listener questions count, then I have a really important one to add. Alex - why can't you ever let nice things happen to the characters? Why can't you let them be happy?

LaCelestina, are you all caught up? I would love to engage with this one but I'd hate to spoil anyone.

I'd love to hear a bit more about the balance between telling a coherent story and playing a roleplaying game. I've recently started listening back to the beginning and there are a few times when something either goes horrendously wrong or way better than expected because of the dice: the Parisian catacombs are probably the best example. Those episodes are so tense and full of such great character moments. How do you make it so something unpredictable somehow still includes rich and satisfying story beats?
Alex, have you ever been genuinely flummoxed by an in-character decision someone's made?

Congratulations to James! You will sleep again, I promise. You will be missed far more than Bertie.
I had written a really long list of Bertie's best moments, but then my work computer ate it. I think my favourites have been mentioned, so I will just add that nobody else in the history of podcasting or tabletop RPG has used the word papoose with such panache and gay abandon.

Gosh. That was dramatic. I think I'll need to listen to that one again before I can formulate a response!

My favourites are the dice that know. I have a set with an uncanny knack for rolling extraordinarily well when I'm trying to do technically impossible but narratively immensely satisfying things. Those are the slightly garish pink/blue/white/orange swirly ones in the image below. They are not my aesthetic taste, but there is no questioning their results! The others are just pretty. We're playing Rolemaster at the moment, hence D10s and percentile dice!
